Fitting all the many animals on the Ark has been a problem for skeptics. But consider their may have not been that many " kinds" of animals back then. 1 kind of dog ( wolf) not like today. 1 kind of snake, etc. Perhaps there weren't as many different kinds of each animal evolved as their is today. This would greatly reduced the amount of animals on the Ark.

Not to mention that Noah was a pretty smart guy considering he was a few hundred years old when he was commanded to build. Although not supported by scripture it’s not unreasonable to think he was smart enough to bring the babies. They are smaller and they eat less and reach reproductive age more robustly onto the new land rather than older, larger animals that might be “past their prime.“ I think there might be some merit in this line of thought.

I think the exact opposite is true. The more "down to earth", if you will, these biblical passages become, the more amazing God becomes. To think that it's a more real, more tangible, more connected to our real lives is powerful. When we talk about the amazing number of events over thousands of years that happened to, for example, get us the bible as we have it, while understanding all the different hands of writing, editing, copying, collating...the power of God grows in magnitude.
When someone says the universe is 10,000 years old, I see a small God. When someone tells me the universe is 14 billion years old, I see a massive, ancient being that requires my humility and awe and amazement. The more I learn about the universe, the more amazing God becomes in my eyes. He is beyond us all, and the extent to which He is beyond us grows as we learn more about His creation and His dealings with us. That He should care about us tiny things...that's even more amazing. As it is written: "we love Him because He first loved us."

This explanation may look reasonable and reconciling the Genesis flood account with modern science (and I'm all for it). However, IMHO this may create immense theological implications. Why? "For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy ALL flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. EVERYTHING that is on the earth shall die" (Gen. 6:17, ESV) This is quoting God's words. If the flood was regional, then people and animals in China, in the Americas and Australia must have survived the flood without even hearing about it. Were predeluvian Chinese and Incas more rightheous than people of predeluvian Middle East? Then the above quoted words lose their validity. IMHO trying to reconcile regional flood theory with the Genesis account of flood creates more problems than it is trying to solve.

What I want to know with respect to the ending points surrounding measurements and idealized numbers: Its certainly worth considering, but seeing as how only 2 out of the 3 measurements of the ark were related to idealized numbers I would argue that its still more likely a near approximation than an outright replacement. Did they idealize 6 feet into 24 meters? or did they idealize 20 meters into 24 meters?
Yes, A.R. George said the Babylonian ziggurat dimensions have been characterized as being on a tablet more interested in abstract ideals than real buildings, but absolutely no data was offered to demonstrate any kind of relation between actual measurements and their idealized records. So that sounds more like contrived conjecture rather than a serious grappling with the data. But not having read his full work, I will reserve full judgement on that.

The video you linked talks about hyperboles in the bible and the various ways we could interpret the textual descriptions of what happened during the flood (you mention various interpretations of the text in favor of the regional flood and in disfavor of the global).
That video does not talk about evil and wickedness (or the motivation behind God doing the flood). The only place where this is talked about in the linked video is from 4mins 51secs to 5mins 15secs where you mention second peter 2-5, you say that the passage could be interpreted as saying that the flood was meant only for the ungodly people of that specific local area in that specific moment in time. This does not follow with the present video at all. The present video talks about God wanting to restart things because humanity is so wicked and evil.
The same question stays: *Why would God only destroy a small region of the earth, if the whole world was so wicked and evil?* You say yourself that the whole world was filled with violence and corruption, even letting Noah move out of the "local ungodly" flooded area to move into the regions He spared (everywhere else in the world) could be dangerous because of the ubiquitous ongoing battles there.

What if God hit with a regional flood all the people he intended to kill? In your videos on Genesis 1 you make the point that Adam and Eve were not the only humans God created but special humans, the first priests. That was actually quite convincing. Later in Genesis we get to know the genealogy of Adams offspring up until Noah. All of them probably lived in the region hit by the flood and died in the flood. All but Noah and his sons and their wifes. Seems like this explained a regional flood without too many reinterpretations and assumptions being made.

For Noah, He gave the promise to never flood the earth again, however large regional floods still happen. Would there not be peoples in the surrounding regions who do not follow God? it seems as a variant of the Euthyphro Dilemma... good is dictated by God or God is accessing a Good in which case the good is other to him; but the 3rd option is that God is Good so such as God is good so is he also reasonable. so it isn't a kind of circle where God is giving you the reasoning power to confirm him; I would think atheists find themselves to be reasonable for saying he doesn't exist so it makes little sense to suggest the above question to be the case; because we see it to not play out in reality; unless that is you suppose God or Nature to be an overwriting force that removes any kind of free thinking...

How exactly was the whole world judged in a local flood that God promise not to do again and didn't affect everyone on this violent world that God was judging? This doesn't make any sense, the flood is local yet it's going to destroy all the flesh but according to you the text isn't dealing with a global catastrophe? Do you solve an issue like this by declaring that symbolic also? So are you saying Noah held to these beliefs about animals? So God sent animals to support the potential Pagan beliefs Noah had, that's what it sounds like you're telling me. You mentioned "your suggestion" isn't that all this is, you desperately trying to put a local flood into scripture because you want that and if it doesn't make any sense your go-to is "it was just symbolic" I think it's poor form for an apologist to put his suggestion/opinions onto scripture instead of letting scripture form his opinions.

Yes my friend.🙏 And if you don't resonate w/some parts of the Bible it is ok..Idc what anyone says, I kno the truth..The Bible is the most important piece of literature ever written my opinion but it has been heavily altered by man and more importantly by Enlil aka Yahweh and some of the other beings that where originally from the Pliedies that our ancestors referred to as the "Elohim", "Annuna" or "The Annunaki" which came to this planet for gold and other resources and they tampered with our DNA and engineered many of the beings/plant life that live on this earth then and still til these day like cheetahs, dogs, and even all the mixed species that were hear about in all the ancient tales like Anubis for example. They were also referred to as "The Watchers" who created the Nephilim in the book of Enoch.(Which were the true inspiration for the the Greek/Roman pantheon of gods and many other cultures all around the world.) That is the real reason for the contradictions, anger, and mistakes god makes in the Bible. But one of the gifts God gave us that wasn't tampered with and is still active if our DNA is intuition, and if you use it you will kno the truth when you see/read it. You just gotta listen to your heart instead of ignoring it like most of us do in this day and age..The knowledge is literally within you..God luvs you, and you are special and kno matter how hard things may seem, it is all for a purpose you will one day serve. I promise.❤ Stay blessed, friend.

A Gufa, or what is here called a reed hut, has been historically documented as carrying tons of quarried stone and other goods over cataracts. A significant modern error is to simply assume that they would be flimsy and small because of their construct. The concept of a Gufa is akin to ancient pressboard, the reeds being twisted into massive, flexible ropes.

Thanks for the video. I agree with the covenant theology, but I disagree with the fact that God always send a prophet before judgement. No, he doesn’t. People are already without excuse by natural light (Romans 1). Sending a prophet is his grace to further expose them, but that doesn’t mean they weren’t exposed before. There are many times in the Scripture that God has executed judgment without sending a prophet. Even today, there are many who has died without hearing the gospel, and they are still without excuse.
On the other note of preserving animals, as you have mentioned before, the ground was cursed because of Adam. Animals would not be created like the way in prefall genesis. Rather, they will be created through redemption, emerging out of judgement.

We see the global evidence of fossilized layers of aquatic life. Literally all over the planet. From the top of Mount Everest, to the the center of the continental US, and everywhere else. The only explanation is that the entire planet was indeed covered in water at some point. And we have an account of this event in the historical records (including Genesis).

You've got this all wrong! First of all the "sons of God" in Genesis 6 is speaking of angels who took women and bare children with them which were giants or nephilim a hybrid and also they started cross breeding all the species of animals with themselves and splicing dna. This is why God brought on the flood. The reason God said that Noah was perfect in his generation is that his dna was not corrupt because God also says that Noah is righteous in the same scripture, so it's referring to Noah's untainted bloodline. The same with the animals and for one thing God was not making any new animals. Here is the same story in the Book of Jasher and the Book of Enoch giving more clarity, also the Book of Jude and 2Peter in the new testament speak of the punishment of these angels who dealt with women.
    Book of Jasher
4:18 And their judges and rulers went to the daughters of men and took their wives by force from their husbands according to their choice, and the sons of men in those days took from the cattle of the earth, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and taught the mixture of animals of one species with the other, in order therewith to provoke the Lord; and God saw the whole earth and it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted its ways upon earth, all men and all animals.
    Book of Enoch
VI-XI. The Fall of the Angels: the Demoralisation of Mankind: the Intercession of the Angels on behalf of Mankind. The Dooms pronounced by God on the Angels: the Messianic Kingdom (a Noah fragment).
    CHAPTER VI.
    1. And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters. 2. And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: 'Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men and beget us children.' 3. And Semjâzâ, who was their leader, said unto them: 'I fear ye will not indeed agree to do this deed, and I alone shall have to pay the penalty of a great sin.
    CHAPTER VII.
    1. And all the others together with them took unto themselves wives, and each chose for himself one, and they began to go in unto them and to defile themselves with them, and they taught them charms and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants. 2. And they became pregnant, and they bare great giants, whose height was three thousand ells: 3. Who consumed all the acquisitions of men. And when men could no longer sustain them, 4. the giants turned against them and devoured mankind. 5. And they began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood. 6. Then the earth laid accusation against the lawless ones.
Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
    2Peter 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
    5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
God has always made us go through water to be saved, a form of baptism. Noah was save in a vessel through the waters of the deluge. Moses led the children of Israel through the Red Sea waters in order to be saved. Christ got baptized through John in the Jordan River in order to show us what we must do to be saved through water baptism and be born again.

You are mixing up some expressions. God is spirit. You cannot stand in His presence as a sinner and live. The references to "face to face" or "see his back" and the "arms" and "right hand" are anthropomorphisms. Face to face to face is also a figurative expression suggesting openness and friendship
The Son is the second person of the trinity and added a human nature (John 1:14) and became man. Jesus is one person with two natures. An eternal divine nature and an added human nature. Jesus is the image of God meaning He perfectly bears God's name and was sinnless unblemished lamb.
The Father has never been seen (John 1:18, 5:37, Jn. 6:46, 1 Tim.6:15-16)
But in Ex 6:2-3 - God says He used to appear to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as God Almighty.
God appeared to Abraham when Abraham was 99 years old (Gen 17:1), Ex 24:9-11 and again in other texts.
John 1:1 and 1:14 - God(second person) took on human nature and became flesh and explained it to them. Since no one has ever seen the Father, who is the God Almighty (who is not the Father) who has been seen?”
      The pre-incarnate Son.
Moses wrote all that and Jesus said John 5:46 - "For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me." When did Moses write about Jesus? When he wrote about God who was seen (the pre-incarnate Son).

You are a good thinker and an intelligent person, but I just don't find this convincing when a clear reading of text works and can be understood, even if it doesn't match up with modern scientific thinking. I also see you going forward to other scriptures found outside of Genesis where it seems the meaning is clearly understood and then reinterpreting those as well. I just don't understand why God would require such mental gymnastics to understand his Word. And while I'm definitely a person who thinks there could be mistranslations into modern language, I also know that God would have known how his Word would be translated, so I find it very doubtful our translations are as bad as they would have to be to support everything you are suggesting.

    The Need for Spiritual Discernment
"These people are false apostles. They are deceitful workers who disguise themselves as apostles of Christ. But I am not surprised! Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no wonder that his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. In the end they will get the punishment their wicked deeds deserve."
    (2 Corinthians 11: 13- 15) NLT.
John tells us that the whole world lies in the power of the Evil One (1 John 5:19). For this reason, spiritual discernment is of utmost importance. Thankfully, Hebrews 5:11-14 reminds us of believers “who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong” (NLT). In other words, we can get better at distinguishing between truth and error through practice.
In today’s passage, Paul mentions he was dealing with false apostles disguising themselves as servants of righteousness. The same thing happens today: Such servants are all around, “peddling their wares.” It’s their attempt to carry away those who are always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:7).
We may find it challenging to match wits with false apostles, but we can subject them to the obedience test found in 1 John 2:4: “The one who says, ‘I have come to know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.” However, this test works only if we ourselves know the truth. Dive into Scripture today so that you can “examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Knowing God’s Word is what will help our quest for godly wisdom.
    Amen.

Hi. I don't know much about the arguments for or against a global or regional flood, but I do see something from Scripture that hints at a global flood, or at least a flood that was present in all areas that people and animals dwelt.
In Genesis 9:11,15, God promises never again to 'DESTROY THE EARTH' and 'DESTROY ALL FLESH' using a flood.
When we look at those verses, and the passage as a whole through faith, combined with logic and our own experiences, we arrive at a problem with the regional flood interpretation, at least one where some people or animals were spared, apart from Noah and his family. The reason is because God promises never to destroy the earth, and ALL FLESH (NOT ANY FLESH) using a flood. Now, we see regional floods occur almost yearly where lives are lost. In my lifetime, there have been several storms and phenomenon that have caused floods that have killed people and animals. Therefore, if God meant that He would never again cause a regional flood, then that promise would be null and void, because people and animals have been dying due to regional flooding. However, the rainbow, which is the sign of this promise, is still seen in the sky, which means this promise is still active. But if He meant a global flood, which I feel is what the text says, then the promise is active to this day, because there hasn't been a global flood after Noah.
There is one more argument for a global flood. The rainbow is a sign of God's promise not to destroy the earth using a flood. If God's promise was only concerning a specific region or people, then the rainbow shouldn't appear in areas where communities die from floods, and yet it will appear even in those areas.
I find it very hard to accept regional flooding as it applies to Noah and the ark, simply because Scripture does not suggest it, and neither do our own experiences when interpreted by faith through Scripture.

      This is for two reasons:
      1. Genesis 7:21 specifies all kinds of creatures that were destroyed by the flood:
"ALL FLESH THAT MOVED ON THE EARTH perished, birds and cattle and beasts and EVERY swarming thing that swarms upon the earth, and ALL mankind"
      Genesis 7:21 NASB
      2. When God makes the covenant to never again destroy all flesh using a flood, He mentions the creatures that He is making a covenant with, but He does not mention sea creatures. He specifies that this covenant is with Noah and all living creatures that are with him, listing all animals that move on the earth/on land, which He later refers to as 'all flesh'.
"Now behold, I Myself do establish My covenant with you, and with your descendants after you; and with EVERY LIVING CREATURE THAT IS WITH YOU, the birds, the cattle, and every beast of the earth with you; OF ALL THAT COMES OUT OF THE ARK, even every beast of the earth."
