He charges that much for a course, but was advertising a video editor job where he wanted the editors to make 11 videos for free. Then 5 more videos where he paid a pathetic wage, then out of the top 5 editors, one might actually get the job. Talk about a POS, lol.
Hey dude. You're leaving out some key information actually. It's just the training process. They have to re-create 11 videos that I already created. Every company trains their employees and each of the videos that they have to edit are less than 60 seconds. Then for the other 5 videos (that are also less than 60s each), I am paying $50/video. You may think I'm a piece of shit for doing this since you said that, but I am just trying to find the right guy for the job. I've had 15 people apply so far. Best of luck to you though!
@@BrandonDeon Imagine if people wanted 11 free lessons from you, to check that you met the style they liked and THEN they would decide whether to employ you. I get wanting to find the right person but normally training happens once you've employed someone, not for free before. Best of luck to you too!

Hey Brandon, I have been with you for a couple of years now (YT, not the academy because I'm already a fooking brilliant guitar chef), and just feel like you shouldn't step into politics. For a couple of reasons:
- You mention negativity in the world, but by commenting on political stuff you add to polarisation in some way. Besides, would you want political commentators to make videos about music? I'm pretty sure your talent is teaching, making funny videos and playing music.
- It's not like you actually try to solve the problems. For instance, you mention your concerns about big pharma. That is fair, I got 3 jib jabs but did not take the 4th one. But here's why: because it was not scientifically recommended. The benefits were not clearly demonstrated. I feel like you lacked the nuance here. And if you are concerned with big corporate interests, I am there with you, corporate capitalism is what's destroying this world because companies will choose profits over people every time, because they have shareholders. All of this has detrimental effects on every citizens causing high depression rates.
- Who do all these pills benefit? Well, me. I have ADHD and the pills that I take allow me to focus and work. They allow my friends with diabetes to live and our elders to live without back pain every once in a while. Just because something has the potential to be shady, doesn't mean all of it is bad. That's where the difference between criticism and conspiracy lies, and the difference between populism and political nuance.
- And this brings me to the so-called 'woke' ideology a lot of the UA-cam-populus tries to demonise. I will preface that I am not always with the woke politics. But rather than complaining about it, I realise the benefits of progressive politics, and will call out the sad individuals that take it too far. If you read this (but I assume you won't, *cries*), then could I ask you to give examples of where 'woke' has gone too far, and what is being taught in schools that is such a danger to our children. To me at least, teaching history in schools is good, but calling out predatory behaviour in all genders is also good. Making people realise that institutions might be set up in a biased way to implicitly favour certain characters, is also a good thing. Cancelling people for a different opinion, not good. Cancelling people who incite violence, or spew hatred, is a good thing. Besides, who has actually been cancelled?
- In short, if you do political or societal videos, at least make them qualitative, instead of Tiktok-style politics. No problems in sharing your worldview, but please consider it in more details next time. Till then I'll be looking forward to the next guitar video. Sorry that I lost my battle to stupidness.
