So glad he's not a robot computed by adults to project adult thoughts. He's the adult with his own mind

I don't get it. Mirai Nagasu made history by being the first American woman to land a triple axel at the Olympics, but you don't even hear about her in the media. Yet, Adam didn't do jack crap, and suddenly he's being featured here and there. Or is it that he just has a good publicist?????

It's likely more so that people find him entertaining than anything else. These places are companies, and they will follow the supply and demand of what most people find cool - which, right now, is Adam because of his sass and comedy - so they can get more money.
I agree that it's not fair because yes, she made the triple axel at the Olympics, but people would rather talk about the 15-year-old who can do three triples in a row and get gold rather than a woman who can do one three-and-a-half and get 10th (and I don't mean that maliciously. That's just the reality). Her interview skills are also very parred with other athletes as it's very professional. ABC, NYT, and ESPN are the types of news outlets that love her, but the straight news isn't as popular as it used to be. Entertainment shows like Ellen and Cosmo, which are more popular because of the entertainment aspect, don't as much.

because he has a really great personality, Is one of the few openly gay figure skaters, and he went and got bronze in the Olympics. That is in NO way doing nothing. Look up Marai Nagasu if you want to know more about her.

A Brandt The entire American figure skating team won bronze. Adam didn't win bronze on his own. The bronze medalist was Javier Fernández of Spain.

Maybe stop torturing yourself by hitting "play" when you see "Adam Rippon" in the title. Or maybe you have a secret fascination?
