- A 79 and 81 year old couple from Miyako Sushi, they are both 160 years old. I visited them at the end of an extremely hot summer. They were as energetic as ever, and I was also able to meet Bala-kun, a June client, and we all got together for the first time in a long while.
Since June, we have had an increase in the number of overseas clients, including those from Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, and just the other day, from Hong Kong,
One girl even visited Miyako Sushi from Hong Kong to meet them!
We asked them what motivates these two elderly people in this extremely hot weather.
They answered, “I won't settle for less,” and “I won't let them beat me! I am sure each of their thoughts will resonate with more people.
The first one is “Go peddling! Go peddle!” The first T-shirt is “Go peddling!” The proprietress gives a punch when she sees that the owner has bought too many vegetables and fruits at the market.

最近、みやこ食堂の投稿があまりなかったので、寂しく思ってました(´・ω・｀)
元気そうでなにより。
大将の性格は陽気で、ケセラセラタイプと思ってたら（自身も軽トラ運転中にノーテンパーと言っていた）、過去には経営不振で円形脱毛症が沢山できた。ってのは意外でした。たぶん、色々乗り越えて悟り・達観の境地で今があるのかもしれない。
自分の中で感銘を受けたのは、バラ君が毎日、サブ君に会いに来ていて、そのうち昼食をごちそうしてもらった流れで、雇われて働いていること。
サブ君は元々、座り方の見た目が悪く、飼い手がいなくて、殺処分になる直前で保護されたこと。
捨てる神あれば拾う神あり。
利害関係のみで生きがちな現生において、
みやこ食堂には、生き物が本来必要とされる大切な事が詰まった場所と思います。
