COLT 890 Allmode-CB-radio by CYBERNET

I'm testing the very rare COLT-890, AM/FM/SSB, CB-Radio transceiver abt. 12 watts output. Manufact by CYBERNET (PTBM048COX-Board). There are 120 channels available. The design is very similar to some other CYBERNET radios, like MARKO-747, SUPERSTAR-2000, BOMAN CB-950, etc.

I ordered one of those back in 1985 when available by my local dealer. After some wait, the dealer said the radio was not available anymore. Nice rig (with a weird colour scheme and that classic Cybernet squelch "pop" sound when cut or open, though :)

Mister DX5 hello, thank you for your interest on my channel. Yes, there is a mod availlable, wich reduce the "blob" on the squelch bridge. Its only to solder a small ELCO between base and ground. Best wishes to you..

Thanks@@SWIZZRADIOS . Yes. I did a different one to my Concorde II's and Hy Gain V, consisting in lifting a resistor leg and soldering a bridge on the same area.
