In this game Quirks do effect some things in combat. Take Stubborn for example they may reduce damage to themselves or attack again because they aren't satisfied, however they may just flat out deny healing in any for except HP Bananas. So if you have a healer they may just annoy you (And you will need one or two later on) and that can lead to quarrels between the heal and the Mii with the Stubborn quirk.
Please don't let this replace tomodachi life because tomodachi life just got interesting!!!!! We have a married couple which could lead to baby mii's!!
