I had one of those when I was 15 years old. It was amazing, and I have very nice memories of it. Then I upgraded to the Kawasaki 900 for long-range trips, which was extremely powerful. Remember: What's the difference between a boy and an adult? The price of the toys! Have a good one!
Yup, my dream bike. 1972 Norton converted to the Fastback tank and seat. I still love the look and sound of the Commando. And no they don’t start that hard 😂. Our hero looks like he’s afraid of it.
I owned one of these, it was metallic green, fast back, fibreglass tank .. awesome bike. Was a lot easier to start than this. Enjoy mate. :) sold it in 1975, and I wish I'd kept it.
Shaped like my arse getting it started. Back when i had a fastback it had 10. 25 comp pistons , i was 9st but could start it 1st or second kick. Beautiful bike and it sounds great.
Nice old straight bars too I must be getting old I like this version best of the lot partly.b ecause of un conventional looks like ride position position great. Never ridden one of these ones only the ,750 roadster and2,a ,,850 interstate am getting interested again now many wounds later

A beatutiful bike, and sound is ....music!
Had one just like it 25 years ago....day-glo red.
Sid he flood it , there was a lot of black smoke when it fired the first time which may suggest too much fuel.
You don't have to fiddle with kick start lever that much to kick start it. I certainly didn't have to on my 850 Norton Commando.
Exactly why I installed an Alton e start
Wear any black leather greaser biker jackets???

This guy should not own a Commando, no idea at all.
It's not a Briggs & Stratton you set the choke way too far to start it
It was flooded... Don't expect a Commando to idle when cold..
You should be embarrased to own a machine like this. You have no idea at all
Jajaja
