That’s what happened to both Aelita and William when Xana used the Scyphozoa to take control of both Aelita’s and Williams’s mind.
That’s not entirely true in episodes 54 and 64 she does the same thing she did in this episode that includes throwing a few energy fields at the monster

You know I was always surprised that Jeremy never used the reboot program to break Xana’s control over Aelita in season three when Xana used her to enter code Xana’s in the way towers so he could destroy all four sectors so they couldn’t use the transport orb to get to sector five and that way he wouldn’t have any interference destroying the core of Lyoko.

I completely missed it on the first watch through. Upon reading this comment, I had to rewind that part & listen closely in order to hear it. Its so short & quiet & for some reason that just adds to the hilarity of the drama 🤣 I love this series so so much omg
Even though the writing in this episode was kind of lackluster (because of how Aelita didn't use her wings to get away from the Scyphozoa and Ulrich not even bothering to use super sprint to save her and etc), this is one of my favorites because of the sword fight between Ulrich and Aelita. It's so badass. I also love how at 17:56, Aelita literally almost kicked Ulrich in the ass. XD

The principal had no reason to question Odd and Aelita. Who cares if he thought they were related to an old teacher who worked there, they didn't actually do anything wrong. If he was that curious he could've just approached them informally. Imagine getting to the principal cause they find out you have a family connection. That would be so bizarre lol

I usually never refer to Aelita as Aelita Stones. I always call her Aelita Hopper because without Franz Hopper we wouldn't have a Lyoko, to begin with. Not to mention the countless times Franz has saved his daughter. However, in head canon and in fan fiction, I call Aelita, Aelita Schaeffer to differentiate between the two

In the end after the return to the past is launched and the gang head off to classes and before Aelita goes to catch up with them the part where she was imagining in the photo of her as a little girl giggling with her father and him making a friendly grunting noise or whatever it was made me happy and sad at the same time as I’m sure it did for Aelita. She was always hoping they could reunite like that after destroying Xana but sadly that never happened as he sacrificed himself to protect and save his daughter, help her daughter’s friends (including her boyfriend Jeremy to give him the data he needed for the anti-Xana program to destroy Xana) and save the world from falling into Xana’s clutches. You know I have nothing against Franz Hopper at all but sometimes I feel like back the. he cared more about trying to destroy project Carthage then he did about his wife and daughter due to the fact how extremely obsessed and how insane he became trying to destroy it. I wish he had use his scientific skills when he created the super computer, Lyoko and Xana to try to locate his kidnapped wife first instead of trying to destroy project Carthage. Franz Hopper may have been a genius and loving father and husband but he was the kind of person who let his obsessions get the best of him and his emotions and sometimes in some ways he’s responsible for his wife getting kidnapped.
It's a thing with the protagonists that the character with the story-breaker powers will oftentimes be incapacitated or have a heavy handicap on them. Aelita's powers (Matter creation, energy fields, virtual world sense, angel wings) are all extremely deadly on paper. In practice, they keep her as the damsel in distress so that she won't one-shot everything. Villains that have these powers get a LOT more leeway. Hence why whenever Aelita falls under XANA's control, she becomes a whirl of destruction, now only restricted by the budget.

I remember this episode, Saint Valentines Day, & the Kissing Episode were my favorites along w/the other episodes that the Scyphozoa succeeded in getting Aelita. Did you ever Reenact Code Lyoko? Cause I know I did, I remember jumping all around in my mom’s den, throwing the paper fan and sometimes actually bought fan from the Mall and I would just throw it like Yumi. I remember reenacting this Aelita vs Ulrich fight, and I was Aelita. Man it’s so much fun embracing your childhood once again after forgetting half the stuff you used to do in it. I’m now 15 yours old, and when I was watching this was probably like 5 yrs ago or 6 or more. Damn I love this show, I used to BingeWatch this show until I fell asleep
I really like the theme of consciousness that they added, aelita is waking up from the digital slumber- her cells are alive on earth agains. When she has visions and experienced clear sight Claire sight I love it

Personally I was surprised Xana didn’t send him to guard Aelita like he used the tarantulas after Xana possessed her through the Scyphozoa so she would obey him to throw herself into the digital sea so her father could rescue her and he could destroy him.
I wonder what happened to the scyphozoa after this episode, it was the last time it ever appeared

In the end after the return to the past is launched and the gang head off to classes and before Aelita goes to catch up with them the part where she was imagining in the photo of her as a little girl giggling with her father and him making a friendly grunting noise or whatever it was made me happy and sad at the same time as I’m sure it did for Aelita.
She was always hoping they could reunite like that after destroying Xana but sadly that never happened as he sacrificed himself to protect and save his daughter, help her daughter’s friends (including her boyfriend Jeremy to give him the data he needed for the anti-Xana program to destroy Xana) and save the world from falling into Xana’s clutches.
You know I have nothing against Franz Hopper at all but sometimes I feel like back the. he cared more about trying to destroy project Carthage then he did about his wife and daughter due to the fact how extremely obsessed and how insane he became trying to destroy it.
I wish he had use his scientific skills when he created the super computer, Lyoko and Xana to try to locate his kidnapped wife first instead of trying to destroy project Carthage.
Franz Hopper may have been a genius and loving father and husband but he was the kind of person who let his obsessions get the best of him and his emotions and sometimes in some ways he’s responsible for his wife getting kidnapped.

It's a thing with the protagonists that the character with the story-breaker powers will oftentimes be incapacitated or have a heavy handicap on them. Aelita's powers (Matter creation, energy fields, virtual world sense, angel wings) are all extremely deadly on paper. In practice, they keep her as the damsel in distress so that she won't one-shot everything.
Villains that have these powers get a LOT more leeway. Hence why whenever Aelita falls under XANA's control, she becomes a whirl of destruction, now only restricted by the budget.

Cause I know I did, I remember jumping all around in my mom’s den, throwing the paper fan and sometimes actually bought fan from the Mall and I would just throw it like Yumi.
I remember reenacting this Aelita vs Ulrich fight, and I was Aelita. Man it’s so much fun embracing your childhood once again after forgetting half the stuff you used to do in it. I’m now 15 yours old, and when I was watching this was probably like 5 yrs ago or 6 or more. Damn I love this show, I used to BingeWatch this show until I fell asleep
