Resident Evil: Outbreak, known as Biohazard: Outbreak (バイオハザード アウトブレイク Baiohazādo Autobureiku) in Japan, is a survival-horror game released exclusively for the PlayStation 2 between 2003 and 2004. A sequel to the game known as Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 was released in 2005.
It was the first Resident Evil game with multiplayer capability, using the PlayStation 2's online network. Up to four players could participate simultaneously in one scenario; alternately, in single-player mode, the player is accompanied by two AI-controlled characters. Outbreak introduces the "virus gauge," which limits the amount of time players may spend on a scenario. The virus gauge rises at different rates for different characters, and increases rapidly if the character is attacked or crawling on the ground. The game lost all online play capabilities for the USA servers in 2007. The Japan servers stayed up but finally went down in July 2011.
The player chooses a scenario, difficulty level, and a character. The difficulty level is tied to what enemies and items the player encounters as they progress through the scenario. The game has five scenarios, each of which has an event checklist consisting of special actions that the player must perform to reach 100% completion. Upon doing so the player will unlock "Infinity Mode" in which all the player's weapons never break or run out of ammunition.
Each scenario also has "SP" items. These are invisible items hidden throughout the level, and are randomly generated on two paths. There are twenty scenario items for each scenario, and twenty items specific to each character hidden across the five scenarios. If acquired, these items unlock new costumes and the option to listen to their ad-libs.
Players could connect to the internet servers using a broadband connection and a network adapter. Account registration and login were required. Once players connected and logged in, they could then choose between Free Mode and Scenario Mode. Free Mode took place in a lobby and allowed players to create their own games, scenarios, and difficulty level. Scenario Mode would choose the scenario and players automatically. When a player first started online, they would begin on the "Outbreak" scenario and progress from there. If the player wished to stop playing, they could save their data and start off from the scenario they were up to at the time. If the player had beaten a scenario, they acquired a star by their name. On December 31, 2007, Capcom shut down the US servers for Outbreak and on June 30, 2011, for the JP servers.

Kudos for saving Bob. I found it difficult to escort him on this difficulty. Clever strategy with the stick for the liquor room.
I saw it with my own eyes and I still can't believe you defeated the last boss with a folding knife, and on the hardest difficulty. And here I thought that was one of the most weakest weapons in the game. You are truly a champion.
I never used Mark that much and always favored Kevin. Mark seems like a good character.
all characters are good, you just need to see who will fit on your play style ^^
Mark is good for taking hits and dealing damage. If you like what they call a "tank" or just want some cushion for damage he is for you.

mark can hold damage from a hunter i realy like play with him and hold a zombie horde all by myself
Can't take hunter's leathal strike though. A bit dissapointing. Mark has a lot of random downsides like not fitting below bed or in locker. I still like him a lot.

You need to turn up the energy first, the switch to On the energy is hidden behind a picture of the same room of the clock
54% complete on outbreak? How do you even get 100?
You have to replay the scenarios over and over to really get 100%. The problem with some scenarios like "Outbreak" for example is the randomness in some of the events like the bottles falling to the ground or hearing screams. There's that infamous bug on the Hellfire scenario with ringing the bell at the lobby and the game not registering it as if you didn't do the event and your overall total is stuck at 96%.
