I applied to Stockholm university as my first choice but the approved my 2nd choice.

unfortunately u cannot apply for the residence permit from 7.5 credit course. u need to be admitted in at least 30 credit course in order to apply for visa .

Yes, you mentioned that people should apply for RP along with their dependants but won't that kind of seem like someone is planning to stay back after school. Based on the emphasis you and Son of Paul made about not giving Embassy people that idea of coming to stay in Sweden after work if not that might lead to rejection. So, what do we do about that or how do we answer questions based on that?

In tends of education both universities are okay. As someone who has spent over a decade in Sweden, I will choose Jönköping.

Just add more courses unto 30 credits so you can get 6-9 months entry visa into Sweden.
