The amazing thing about Prof. He puts all of himself into every song and performance every time consistent they don’t make them like him anymore, and they probably never will again
What I've heard is that this song comes from a story when he was younger about how his mother almost drove them into a river or body of water to kill them both. She was struggling bad mentally which almost ended them. I think the hammer is a metaphor for the constant mental toll and trauma he has experienced with his family including his mom with them never being happy or having peace. When Prof is singing about driving it from his moms perspective and what she was thinking. "There a woman in my backseat, she's been driving me all winter long" is another metaphor as in she's the one driving the car but she's either doesn't seem all there or he doesn't feel safe or trust her as she is in the backseat with him not really driving.
You got a new sub just for covering Me Boi PROF!! I love his depth creativity skills and energy! His videos are dope and so are his flows! Thank you for your content and real reactions.
Maybe I’m just an old addict but maybe the woman is a drug like H and the hammer is the plunger? Idk. He’s never felt this good and in a mile up the tracks he’ll be feeling fine like he was dope sick or something.
respect on this reaction man, i love prof, theres some more tracks from that session that are very powerfull as well, since u dig this track,, theres a new Hype and he is called Ren, i strongly advise u to check Hi ren , that track has soem similaritys with this prof track imo ... keep up the great work: Ren - Hi Ren
I think either way the concept of the hammer is an ultimatum for a choice he has to make. He talks about his family being divided and picking sides. Strikes me as his sister he's talking about, which is sadly super relatable to me. If you check out Myself by Prof you'll get a little bit more of a gaze into how personal some of these songs of his are and how complicated and tragic some of his family history is.
The real story of the song- it's growing up with an abusive bipolar father, sisters, and a mother who could only "hold the hem over my head." She could only do her best to hide her (like a child hiding behind the hem of their mom's dress) than be able to stand up and change what's happening
It represents his drive internally. To keep going inspite of his past and hardships.. How part of him wants to just stop. A finality of that word... His war inside That's how I see it anyways.
Do not sleep on Prof! Incredible artist. Extremely talented. Real AF.

His dad started the House on fire with him and.his mom in it!
Gotta make sure catch him live. Nobody compares & I’ve seen countless shows.
I'm always late to the party, but great video man.
One of my personal favorites from Prof is Criminal.
I can't find any reactions to that song at all on UA-cam and I don't understand it because it's such a beautiful song

I've always thought it was his mother staying with his father. He references him but maybe I'm wrong?

Also, sub for the Prof reaction. Anxious to see more!
Its anxiety!
Фоул ,привет!!!! Мне нравится как ты поешь!!!!
I think the woman he is talking about is seasonal depression. Telling him he only has a month left. Just makes sense to me.
