Great video! Have you taken a look at melee builds for Geist? I've tried them out and it's interesting, but I'm not sure how it pans out next to other builds.
Honestly I didn't even know a melee build existed for her lol. I'd be interested to see what it looks like. With melee in this game, I think you need a lot of healing like Abrams to survive
hey great video! i am colorblind and struggle with the red enemy color a bit. how did you turn them blue? i couldnt find any option for that in the settings? Thank you
As far as I know, those colors are only appear in replays right now. I don't think you can get them while you're playing. Hopefully Valve adds that option soon.
watched this video, then solo carried 2 games last night as Geist w/ the bomb build in my bottom trench bracket. Just farmed up like crazy w/ the bombs, and they'd always need at least 2 heroes to kill me. Thanks big dawg for the breakdown
Id love to see you do a viscus breakdown! I really wanna be good at viscus but I feel like I have a hard time doing anything. I feel upgrading my weapon damage is best but I might not understand spirit enough yet.
Two things I would say for geist in my own personal builds. Grabbing reach and leveling out her 2 actually lets you 1v1 people often. Able to run down squishier targets early on or shut down certain heroes escapes in teamfights given she has no hard cc and only slows. Her bomb does quite a bit of damage with burst and her gun with headshot booster means she can clear npc's quite quickly without having to max out her 1. I still agree with her having very very strong farm with her 1 maxed out but I haven't felt the need for it early on.
This is super helpful and exactly the kinda thing I need to wrap my head around to enjoy her. I heard Leech got it's heal reduction resist removed recently, would you still recommend taking it?
Ya the video had some unfortunate timing with the patch. The healing reduction resist got moved to Healing Booster which I think is now a core item for Geist. Leech is still good, but I don't think you have to rush it anymore
@@eskiegaming Gotcha. Just wanted to say in the short time since I took your advice on building Geist I've seen a huge improvement in my games. Thanks man! PS: Any thoughts on the Spirit Cooldown items or Escalating Exposure?
Glad to hear that! I like the cool down item a lot now that I'm not rushing Leech. I buy it most games. I think Escalating Exposure is a good late game damage item choice but probably more of a luxury than a necessity.
Hey, rewatching the video I noticed that you didn't mentioned Mystic reverb. It seems to be a amazing item for her 1 focus build.. do you have any thoughts on it?!
@@vikenzo3703 I think it's a very viable option if you're looking for more damage. I prefer building tankiness mid game and more damage late. If the game goes long enough I'd consider buying Mystic Reverb.
Hey Eskie. Do you think building improved Cooldown/Superior Cooldown is worth it for the bomb build? I like using it. I'm also very new to the game so I'm not an expert.
@@jeremyhicks4517 ya I've actually worked that into my current build because the healing reduction resistance is now on Healing Booster instead of Leech
As of the newest patch, unlucky release time I guess, Healing Booster now has 15% Heal Reduction Resist and Leech was nerfed to no longer have the 30%. I feel like this would change the need for leech a lot, would you still call it core/buy it immediately or switch to another item.
Great call-out. I plan to release an updated Geist video sometime soon, but yes I don't think Leech is a must rush to buy now. I think Healing Booster is now core, and you should buy things like Warp Stone before going Leech. I think you can probably wait for between 25k-30k souls before buying Leech.
Love the advice! My question is whether or not you rate Ammo Scavenger on Geist. The ammo refund is great for farming/denies and you can easily get 28 spirit early for only a t1 item. My big qualm with it is that it's sometimes too much spirit, because it increases her bomb damage by 28 but increases her bomb self damage by 56 thanks to the 2x multiplier. Is there such a thing as too much spirit early, before you get the spirit armor?
I think your reasoning is the same as mine. I think too much spirit early on can be bad and negatively affect your ability to stay in lane. Between enemy harass and your self damage, Geist can be pushed out of lane if you're not careful. The tier 1 items I like to buy have at least two of three between tankiness, damage, and sustain. For example, Mystic Burst gives you spirit shield, extra spirit damage, and weapon damage. Restorative Shot gives you bullet resist, sustain and weapon damage. I also try not to buy too many Tier 1 items because that delays your Tier 2 and Tier 3 itemization.
I think your build, at least the one that represented in video, lacks of some mobility items (e.g warp stone). Warp stone helps to chase an enemy and use ultimate ability on it since it has short range.
I play a lot of Lady Geist, I think slowing hex is pretty good on her to give her some CC and to keep people in the maxed out bomb. Also decent synergy with life drain silence. Bullet damage is also often a problem, metal skin or just the bullet armor is pretty good
Thanks for the guide. Ive messed with Geist builds a lot and I skip Berserker a lot... it probably has good synergy with her but I like Kinetic + Warpstone too much. As for the spirit series... especially getting Boundless Spirit, if you get it too early it's more harm than help. It makes your Q damage to yourself (2x ratio) way too high. Definitely need leech or high spirit steal first.
@@eskiegaming Have you tried magic carpet? I've been running it as my first 6300 buy and it has been incredibly useful for filling in her crap mobility.
