    A video like this shows more than the the original landing videos how fricking huge these rockets are. BUT those landing videos are incredible. The double landing in the falcon heavy test video is one of the most remarkable things I’ve ever seen.

    I hope they preserve this one like they did the first one that successfully landed, as it is a pretty historic piece of hardware, seeing how it's the booster that gave America back it's human launch capability.

      @@eugenestrawberry1835 Your argument....is that it would be too costly...to NOT reuse a booster?
      To whom?
      Not the company, cause they can charge more for a new booster.
      To the customers? Not really, cause SpaceX already pretty much undercuts most other launch options in it's class and has a fleet of used boosters on hand.
      To display? It's not that much to pour a slab with some metal anchors and lock it down.

    When the booster detaches from the falcon does it return on the same line, or it is possible to navigate it to any destination?

    • @MrDenial
      @MrDenial 4 роки тому +1

      The booster’s trajectory cannot be changed much because it’s falling back to Earth. It can change its orientation and path a little bit, but not much, which is why the droneship is hundreds of miles out at sea. The droneship does a lot of the work by steering itself to the right position to ‘catch’ the rocket. However, if there’s enough fuel left, the booster may perform a ‘boostback burn’, to propel itself onto a different trajectory. You can see this in the Falcon Heavy test flight for example.

    *Why do you think there is NO video for so called "successfull landing on ship" 30.05.2020?* Even a few days later?
    It is understandable that communication link can be disconnected during live translation, but all video footage is saved into local storage that is designed to protect information.

    1. There are AT LEAST a few cameras on that landing platform ship and all of them recording RECORDING to local storage.
    2. There are AT LEAST a few drones flying around that landing platform ship while filming Falcon 9 first stage landing and all of them RECORDING to local storage.
    3. There are AT LEAST a few cameras filming from Falcon 9 first stage itself and those cameras RECORDING to local storage.

    Now, days after landing, *WHY THERE IS NO EVEN A SINGLE VIDEO FROM ALL THOSE CAMERAS?!*
    I have only one explanation - all these videos where stolen by bad Russians. Do you have more reasonable explanation for missed video?
