Every video of these guitars always just has the guitar player being lost in the guitar & making beautiful noise. And every time you get to hear the players personality. Truly truly impressive for a guitar to do that so consistently.
Long time subscriber, first time commenter… because WOW - when you say that guitar is inspiring, you are right - that’s some of your best most emotive playing right there! If this video doesn’t sell tons of those guitars, I don’t know what will!!!! Just wow RJ!!!!
RJ, you bring the best out of guitars every time. Carlos Lopez is a straight up master builder. All his guitars sound amazing. his wife hand winds those pickups and they are butter!
I fell in love with this guitar the first time I saw it on Casino Guitar’s Channel--I own the Castedosa baritone in Shell Pink #12 without the built-in circuitry.Carlos and his family have built me a truly extraordinary guitar.
Do you have a favorite amp for these baritone guitars? I'm enamored by the Steel String Singer you've played thru here, seems like a big transformer clean toned amp might be good for these baritones,,, I've got this same guitar on order, due any week now, plan on playing similar music as this (as much as my talent will allow, lol)
Wow,,, what an amazing guitar (and awesome playing as usual). I wonder if the on-board octave/fuzz circuit is easy to work on (repair) if needed, that's the only concern I would have.
Love your playing ! So refreshing ! Awesome playing at 10.14, some fresh and farty sound aha it is strange but it works so well héhé Cheers from France ! 🇫🇷
My very favorite demo you’ve ever done. While calling upon so much history you bring it right here to the moment. Just massive and gorgeous tone and feel. At least this time the gas on this instrument is so far off I won’t need to worry about an impulse $. But just great work. Hope u keep this beauty in your 🖍️palette.
Holy mother of balls 😮 I hope to hell they let you keep this thing, RJ. Its a special beast! I would love one for myself, but unless Affirm or my credit cards take it easy on me, it aint happening 😂
By the way, I think the second time you played with Brett Papa, you played a riff that you said was derived from jazz. I tried to remember a song that has that riff. So far it’s Harlem Nocturne, Shadow of Your Smile and something from Billie Holiday, “I’m a fool to want you “ unless you already understand where I’m coming from, check out I’m a fool to want you. The riff I’m talking about is all through that song.
A master guitar player. I'm sure Chet Atkins would give you the Certified Guitar Player approval. Not that you need it. I don't know anything about R.J. Ronquillo. I have to say this due to unknown frauds claiming a connection to me and thieving my life. I'd like to play with people as good someday, if I ever get good enough.
You know how you sign 'mindblown' with your hands? Thats what I physically did when the intro audio caught my attention. Blew me away? Yes. I just picked up the French toast octave distortion again. In related fx. Poof!
I think baritones are highly overrated and sound like crap. I thought maybe a richer neck pickup would give a more strat neck Hendrix tone but so far of all the ones I’ve seen and heard, that’s definitely not the case. Even when you play, it’s still not the case. So far I haven’t heard anyone play the sounds that I thought I would hear. Personally I would never waste my time and money on any baritone guitar. And I’d never have any built in pedals like some early Japanese guitars from the 60s-70s. I think you’re an excellent player but even your Hendrix riffs do nothing for this guitar. It’s like the Lowery organ of guitars. Just gimmicks. Sorry RJ! ☹️☹️
Check the Dane's thoughts and tones from Anderton's channel. You might change your mind about this guitar.... Recently got my player son a baritone...a jazz player mostly...he's having a blast with a cheap, but well-made Squier baritone.... trying to keep him from getting too busy with adult life and giving up playing for 20 years like me. Stay inspired...a baritone can help....my son agrees.
Ariel Posen and Joey Landreth as well, you can hear them together in their project, the Brothers Landreth (in which they both, unless I’m mistaken, play exclusively in C standard, or lower.), and then spend a good long while asking the powers that control the universe how they manage to achieve such amazing tone, ha ha… Granted, we each of us have our own preferences, and you are entitled to yours to be sure, but I must disagree with them wholeheartedly. I do very much hope your current opinions don’t prevent you from being able to appreciate what are in reality some amazing sounds that really only a baritone guitar can create; I promise you the sound in your head is in there, you have to respect the instrument as being a beast of its own, rather than simply a guitar with a ‘gimmick’, which they most certainly are not… happy playing, listening, and tone searching to you…
Got mine through wildwood where Greg Koch demoed it and referred to it as “a real day waster”. I concur!

I'm going through hard times, but this video brings me much joy and pleasure. Thank you.
Love the guitar, the castedosa story, and playing is cool too ! Thanks RJ.
Ok that thing is super cool!
See Anderton's take on this guitar...I was amazed, as was the Dane. BTW: Love your channel.

R.J. could play a broom handle with a shoe string and make it sound good!
Love it. Do they have a Squier version? Because no working musician (not name Bonamassa) is ever buying a $7k guitar 😂.
I just bought 10 of them :)
WOW ind, will Blow you amp away with drop D or C tuning
Watching R.J. is always a reminder of what I'll never learn to do because I find music theory too boring
I would play soundgqrden on this
If Castedosa forges a Holy variation of the Bass VI, I'll be all over that faster than a Bill Gates private jet flight to Epstein Island.
Hello all,are we starting early,it is google messing with me! Lol
I think that RJ said that there's no live chat this Saturday.
$7000 😳
Definitely a coool gitfiddle but you might hafta take out a second mortgage on your house

Sounds sweet. Of course because of your chops. That body design is not my cup of tea. Looks like a design from a 5 year old. 🫣

7 grand, um, ok
Costs more than my car. And if I bought this badboy it would cost me my marriage.
