Speed Queen bypassed the energy restrictions. I believe they still make a washer similar to this. These are probably the best washers you can get. Good machine.
Speaking of Kirk Rivas, I've watched over 300 of his washer videos and most of his videos were Speed Queen. I think they're not bad machines but I hear that they're very expensive. I've seen the prices on their website and I said "Hell to the no! I love Speed Queen, but hell to the no" His videos are awesome and I still watch them.
This Speedqueen Washing Machine is fantastic... Old school washing action in a New Washer... Love it.. Rollover agitation with plenty of water.. The way clothes should be washed... Well built too. None of that H E crap that don't get your clothes clean, and hardly dampens them..
I have a speed queen wringer washer and I have to wash clothes a lot in it but I always let it go to long one time it was washing for an hour and I realized and I was like Jesus and their were no suds left and their were a ton when it first started
You guys have a fun time even washing towels. I enjoy the positive vibes and light banter. The mike sounds ok a little tinny or echoey but the two of you are clear. The camera mic is clearer on vocals
Thanks! The microphone has its merits in certain applications for sure. I just need to determine what they are. It also happens to pick up noise through the monopod it's on, even just switching hands.

I really liked the lighting. Everything was well lit but not too hot or washed out. As for me I only have a single 100 watt incandescent above my Speed Queen and a 4' shop light with 2 grow bulbs in it above my Maytag to provide video lighting. Maybe my next house will have a laundry studio with proper video lighting. :)
The lighting in Sharkie's laundry is enough to see fine, but the camera doesn't do too well in it. Being that this was wash done later in the day when it was getting dark out, we didn't have the daylight augment the video, so the video light was a good addition. Of course if they used real lighting in there instead of stupid LEDs, maybe I wouldn't have had to use the light.
Dude seriously. Any bulb of that wattage, and only one in the middle of the room, which is not over the machine would not be good for any camera. I had suggested that I set up the WorkZone light on the shelf like I had done in my other nighttime videos which as you have seen, helps wonderfully. You didn’t want to, so I happily used the camera light instead.
"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you." Sounded more to me like it was a pain to set up the WorkZone light, which is why I said no. Especially since it was in the basement and you'd have to go get it. Then put it back. Any bulb of that wattage? Sure, a 10 watt bulb, yeah, you're right, it wouldn't be any good! Har har har! Actually, I have explained many times that I see differently from everyone else, and I can detect very high frequency flicker in lights. For me to say that I didn't see any flicker in those SGLEDs, and further, install them in my house--that speaks volumes right there. I've never found another LED bulb to come close in terms of light quality. Yes, including your CREE bulbs (you know how many Chinese companies say CREE when they mean CLEE? Sounds the same to them, and the big, fast, dumb Amelicans will never know the difference.) So yeah, those lights you have are quite flickery to me, and just don't provide the color rendering index that even a CFL can. You can say it's my fault for being that way, but I am glad I am, amongst a small group out there who agree with me, that LED light output is awful all around. I make exceptions for any indicator lights, their proper purpose, and exceptions for automotive bulbs (I think because it's DC already), and VERY few exceptions for home lighting.
Once I get a house either renting or buying and it has a basement or garage that will hold all 7 washers and 2 dryers I can get you over here for a wash.
Tide Simply is priced like Tide should be. It's definitely not as good. I honestly don't know why they bothered to make it, perhaps Millennials couldn't afford their high prices.

I have the 2017 and really do love it. I think they made them to last for ever. Have you guys had any problems? PS. I had two of those heaters and man they get hot and no complaints.

Mechanical is where it's at, as far as I'm concerned. If you need to add a splash or two, you don't. Or use a cup or bucket. There's no way to fool the control panel as such. Now as far as the heater, yes, these Markel heaters are the best out there.
The dryer had a board problem, but I have a feeling it was a bad one from the factory, as it started when it was pretty much brand new. Since they were both replaced, last year, there hasn't been a problem since. The washer hasn't given any problems.
The light color balancing with the light on is actually pretty nice. The agilation and spin isn't too bad with the mic either. I use two of those giant towels. They are referred to as oversized. Well shit, Sharkie has privilege, he has the taught how to do laundry privilege. TRIGGERED. All I ever got before I took over was delicate cycles, cold water, and jeans washed with sheets and bath robes.

Most of those so called “commercial” machines are nothing more than a residential machine with a commercial control panel. Even back when my Maytag A606 was made in 1973, the commercial machines were THE EXACT SAME THING only difference was most Maytag commercial machines had the short tub and the residential top loaders like my Maytag A606 had the deep tub or extra large tub in them. The reason why the Maytag commercial top loaders have smaller tub in them is they seem to wash and rinse slightly better than the deep tub Maytag washers for some reason. The Maytag Halo Of Heat dryer are definitely commercial grade since they have the belt and pulley drum drive system and uses v belts instead of putting a thin belt around the drum like all newer dryers use, and dryers with a belt around the drum aren’t bad but there’s something I like about the old school dryers better for some reason.
Right, so definitely not "commercial quality" on the washer. The dryer, with a V-belt would track a lot better, and could probably turn larger/heavier loads without issue. My Whirlpool dryers have flat belts and I've never had a problem with them, but then again, I never overload my machines either!

The one ‘56 Whirlpool Imperial dryer I serviced and recorded some video clips doesn’t have a too small of a drum and is more like the Whirlpool 29” dryers with the small opening and 2 stamped baffles in the drum and just the one baffle, but you definitely don’t want to overload and it does have the same air flow like all Whirlpool 29” dryers but that’s where the similarities end. The Whirlpool dryers from the 50’s era have a perforated drum back, and if it’s overload the hot incoming air will just bounce off of the back of the drum and will just go out the exhaust but when loaded normally it will just work fine. That one Whirlpool dryer from 1956 I serviced has a 25,000 btu burner in it, and the Lady Kenmore dryers of that era had a whopping 37,000 btu heat output but dry extremely fast.
jaykay18 the only dryers that seem to dry well even when overloaded slightly is the Maytag Halo Of Heat electric dryers, and the air flow in those is from front to back and no other dryer is like that in design. Only thing is Maytag had to use a very sensitive 170 F high limit thermostat since the heating element is close in proximity to the drum, and the thermostat in the gas HOH dryers like in the avocado green one I have has a 210 F high limit thermostat since the burner is a inch away from a 3” wide felt seal.
High heat is great for big, bulky loads like blankets, jackets, and towels. Low heat is more appropriate for everyday clothing. I've recently switched to using low heat instead, and it dries in approximately the same time, ±5-10 minutes.
The only thing baking soda will do is make the water more alkaline. It's not a "soap" of any kind, so it won't actually help washing much at all. Tide is the top detergent in the US because they PAID to be there. That doesn't mean it's a bad product, but it also doesn't mean it's good. There are many other detergents out there that can do as good of a job for less. There are better, industrial detergents out there as well. I leave it up to you to decide what's better.

My speakers seem to say something different, I found the sound much richer on the external microphone. That's one thing I found, especially for those who use headphones almost all the time. This video I edited on the laptop, but at home I now ALWAYS wear headphones when editing, it lets me hear a lot more than I normally would through speakers. So I think people's mileage is going to vary across the board depending how they watch. Of course anyone on an iFail or phone won't have much to say since the speakers in those can't come close to reproducing the real sound.
@@jaykay18 Yeah, it did seem better when we watched it on the TV. With the speakers here the external mic seems too muffled, whereas the built in one was more ambient. Maybe a good test for it would be to see how it handles windy environments.
Another Great wash day in with the speed queen. Just like the Direct drives these are awesome machines and wash clothes better than any HE machines. If I lived in the USA right now i would get the TC5. Far better than that pos so called commercial maytag.

i love speed queen w/ transmission more a lot than whirlpool because of whirlpool slips into spin drain no matter how hot trasmission is it

Why bother, just do a lid switch delete and leave it open, or remove the lid entirely.

The only thing baking soda will do is make the water more alkaline. It's not a "soap" of any kind, so it won't actually help washing much at all.
Tide is the top detergent in the US because they PAID to be there. That doesn't mean it's a bad product, but it also doesn't mean it's good. There are many other detergents out there that can do as good of a job for less. There are better, industrial detergents out there as well. I leave it up to you to decide what's better.

This was a great one for sure! Listening to this on the computer, I think the built-in mic is better overall.
My speakers seem to say something different, I found the sound much richer on the external microphone. That's one thing I found, especially for those who use headphones almost all the time. This video I edited on the laptop, but at home I now ALWAYS wear headphones when editing, it lets me hear a lot more than I normally would through speakers. So I think people's mileage is going to vary across the board depending how they watch. Of course anyone on an iFail or phone won't have much to say since the speakers in those can't come close to reproducing the real sound.
@@jaykay18 Yeah, it did seem better when we watched it on the TV. With the speakers here the external mic seems too muffled, whereas the built in one was more ambient. Maybe a good test for it would be to see how it handles windy environments.
I actually was sent another one since, that includes a "deadcat" wind cover for the microphone, and it didn't seem to do any good either.
Another Great wash day in with the speed queen. Just like the Direct drives these are awesome machines and wash clothes better than any HE machines. If I lived in the USA right now i would get the TC5. Far better than that pos so called commercial maytag.
