It’s a great inspiration seeing you guys make such great progress with so little. It’s nice to see what could happen without a million dollar budget :)

That fist pump / don't spare the whip move at 0:20 mark hit me right in the feels. Congratulations, and I can't wait to see a couple degrees of timing in the Stude. Also, the 9 with 150 out the backdoor shows what potential is in it. Nice.
@@randywiddis me too. With all the other projects to build video content it is planned for November-ish. It may be cold again but we will have other adjustments and changes completed. Super excited to get back to the track.
I don't know if I've been lazy on keeping up to date with yalls content, but I haven't seen much of this car! Thing is sick. I love it. Watching them go 6s and 7s are boring. But this type of craftsmanship is exciting 🤩. (Coming back to correct myself. THIS. THING. IS. GOING. 7s.)
A great inexpensive but quick build. Great job guys.! 👍👍 Tip for Dyno. When doing a pull, throw it either into neutral or next gear right when lifting at end of pull. I've seen cars and bikes grenade, float valves, etc because the Dyno roller keeps spinning faster after redline is reached when left in gear. As much as 600rpm additional climb when roller continues to ramp up after jumping off throttle. On a stick car or drag bike you just clutch it. Auto cars need to be shifted up or put into neutral at throttle lift. Having extra rpm beyond set redline will only save you so many times. It's how many motors get hurt tuning and doing Dyno pulls.
Yeah. You can't do that. You will destroy your transmission. If you throw the car in neutral with a th400 at 7500 RPM, it will disengage the direct clutch and spin the drum at 15000RPM, which will destroy things. The only good way to do that is by putting a clean neutral in the Trans. Another thing, I couldn't throw it in neutral if I wanted to. Lol. It's a reverse pattern trans. I'd have to go through 2 downshifts to get to neutral. Also with a torque converter the engine is not directly coupled with the roller so no worries with overspinning. We take data logs. Have never seen the RPM just keep going.
Nice! Loved watching that - the inside camera was the nicest view I've seen so far, nice tree lined track helped but it's a perfect angle really felt like being there, but without my navel touching my spine. If that's 10psi down then holy cr4p! Congrats!!!
Sweet hotrod! That is why they outlawed turbos at the Indy 500. Buick V6 made 800 horsepower in the 80's on a stock block, but it had issues with oiling, unlike the SB Chevy and LS engines which are basically bullet proof. You have enough HP, just need chassis adjustments. I wonder how long that small engine will last.
That nova is making so much power down the track and you said that it's roughly 300hp short of the dyno 1000hp? Geesh man, it's already a handful now! I hate to see when you dial in that full 1000hp🤪🤘🏿
The double bounce on the front tires for your 60 foot , wow! It's not hard to build horsepower, just a challenge to get the chassis to work with it. A 7 second run will be awesome, thanks for sharing your build.
Suspension is still set up for the supercharger. We will be tuning that next. We wanted to get initial passes to check converter slip and top end rpm. We plan to change the gears next then the shocks then the bars.. it's a process.
You guys are doing great things, the Nova looks like it is fighting itself to go straight down the track. You may want to check the tracking of the front wheels to the rears. The front subassembly may need adjusted!
Track surface temp was 47 degrees. It was fighting for traction. Also, we still have the rear suspension set up for the Supercharger. Once we swap the rear gears we will reset the bars. This test session was solely for sorting the final drive ratio.
