Love this guy Tom Flores.. I'm a former defensive back in my day and hearing him talk about man to man coverage and different assignments got me hyped up.
When Tom Walsh called Taylor Swift, "Whats her name", I became a lifelong fan of Tom Walsh.

The reason why Kyle wants to see zone because that's what the 49ers run on defense. During the offseason, if he puts his own defense in the zone coverage and he uses that as a warm up for his offense for the season. When he gets in season and teams play man coverage he has no answer and he doesn't practice against zone. Also we don't practice against mobile quarterbacks. We do great against pocket passers and defenses that play zone coverage.
Tom Walsh is so good at explaining the game simply
Like the patriots, the rub routes with not a lot of star power consistently works. And niners d is always vulnerable to that.
Our defense isnt like how it was in recent years. Lets hope we can holf up against mahomes

Up grade the oline. Improve the pass protection. Play with 3 receiver sets. Deebo Aiyuk Pearshall. Tight end kittle. Mason at running back. Juice should be in. On gold line situations . 3rd and short 4 and short. So forth.
