"Put your unit next to mine, I just want to see if they're the same size"
Lol
I am going to use my brand new T235 String trimmer this weekend! This is the first string trimmer I have ever bought that runs on gas.
We have primarily been Echo users but those subtle differences that make all the difference in the world has us switching to Shindaiwa one piece of equipment at a time. Hopefully by next year we'll be 100% Shindaiwa. Having used all other brands we have the most confidence in Shindaiwa
You know echo IS shindaiwa.. right?
@@eugenecrabs3954 EXACTLY, a crappy knockoff of echo that’s made in china
@@mkfan6167 Well, I wouldn't go as far to say it's crappy or made in China
@@eugenecrabs3954 it is made in china, look up a review on the 235 and the person pointed out on the labeling that it said it was made in china, honesty I don’t see any point in getting Shindaiwa when you can just get echo
@@mkfan6167 Laser printed directly on my Shindaiwa and Echo saws, says "Made in Japan"
The handles and controls on the shindiawa are different from the echo. More comfortable to me that's why I skip the echo and go to the shindiawa. I do have an echo backpack blower which is also a close match to the shindiawa. When it comes to chainsaws though I'll grab a Stihl.
shindiawa is absolutely the best in the world I love my trimmer ! I've got a friend that's got a shindiawa weed trimmer that's 35 yrs old and still runs perfect , he loves that machine
nopp
Echo and Stihl are better
I have a Shindaiwa T242....multiple carburetor issues and now won't start. Very disappointing because, when it works, it great! I use the Brushcutter Blade on it also.
The company i work for uses Echo and Shindaiwa weed wackers and we run them about 6 hours a day, so one thing we found out was using them in tall grass , weeds , they do jam up and have to get cleaned periodically, if not every day, so this one job a few weeks ago, my co worker was running his machine, an echo t302x model, ran it so hard he melted off the plastic shield 🫥 what in the blazes i said, how can you do that, lol so now he's got and using a no shield Echo weed wacker 😅
Had a Shindaiwa Straight Shaft weed eater almost 20 years starts every year nothing ever done to it besides a new string head
I have Shins old enough to buy beer. They simply keep running.
I really like the 232 like Jose does.
I bought a t22 or 22t home pro 13 yrs. Ago have done nothing to it,and it works perfectly so 7 yrs after i bought the first one i bought another one, they both run great i paid about 350.00 for each one money well spent,,i dont know if they still make them to last
looks just like my ECHO SRM-225 its just silver and red instead of the hot orange but everything else looks identical to a commercial grade ECHO
Right. However, there are premium features such as a, sold steel drive shaft, aluminum outer shaft. aluminum clutch housing, rubber grip and handle. Because it is under the Shindaiwa name the majority of the parts are Shindaiwa with the Echo engine.
Where did you get your ht232 from. Also how much is it. Thank you.
Any new hedge trimmer will cut like a dream. I trim hedges 7 to 8 hours a day and would never use either of these machines. My back would be stuffed. You need an articulated head so the machine does the work without having to lean awkwardly to cover every position. Its the only way to go.

As far as a line trimmer goes, my dad would purchase a cheap one. But he said when I save up for a lawn trailer, best I save for enclosed. Encloseds are more expensive than open ones, but I could save for open if I want. But EQUIPMENT is a whole different matter, and expensive equipment is better than cheap.
Get an enclosed trailer. Open trailers are prone to people stealing you're equipment and when it rains, everything on your trailer is going to get wet. Plus, enclosed trailers have walls you can mount stuff on and you don't need to buy equipment racks!
Lawn Equipment Help i'm only 2 years away from being 16, so i better at least start saving for a truck. allthough most lawn guys start with only a truck to transport their equipment, my grampa told me to get a trailer right away
ZacksLawnService If you don't have a truck, or have a family member who has a truck to lend you, I would get the truck first and then get the trailer.
Lawn Equipment Help yes someone can do with a truck and no trailer as long as they only use a small mower
Does Shindawia make push mowers?
erica Weidner no
Funny how everything you tell people not to do in your safety video., he does. Always start on ground, have a guard etc. I do love my shindaiwa's though
Echo/Shindaiwa---YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stihl all the way
lololololololololololololololololol
Echo owns Shindaiwa.
those are just pos echos in disguise. echo is trying to fool people and cash in on shindawia,,s rep
The 231 isn't but they are discontinued recently. The Shindaiwa name means it'll be built better. The T235 has a solid steel drive shaft, grip, handle, aluminum outer shaft and clutch housing (Shindaiwa features). The 232 hedge trimmers do use the Echo engine like the 235 but the blades, gear case and debris shield is Shindaiwa. Genuine Shindaiwa machines are the 242s, 282s, Hybrid 4s (same as the C4s) and 802 backpacks because they were produced before the merge at the end of 2009 into 2010.
My 2018 T262 says no.
T235 and SRM-225 same thing just different colors and both have major ignition coil issues. Regardless, Stihl is and always will be the best.
These videos are as fake as a $1000 bill. He tells him that his trimmer is way better but they both say Shindaiwa on them...smh
