you posted this so conveniently because i just finished my planning stage (from brainstorming to storyboarding) and i now have a fully fleshed outline of my story, characters and plot. but i'm struggling to sit down and write the real thing and i think it's because i'm missing quite a few detail, some of which you mentioned in this video. i think i'll go back and fill in my outline with all the points you made in this. thank you!

    My process is extremely chaotic:
-makes up characters and decides how they look
-writes random scenes with those characters in them
-gives characters random personalities and names
-random personalities and names stick (until further notice)
    -Writes chapter 1
-hates chapter 1 and tries to fix
-chapter 1 is impossible to write
    -gave up
So thanks for this video to help me get a proper process

Lol same honestly. Chapter 1 is the hardest chapter for me. I could have the whole thing written and still be stuck on chapter 1.

I've been working on a gamebook (Choose-Your-Own-Adventure style story) recently, and I've had to create a lot of my own templates and writing out notes and timelines by hand just to outline the plot, since I'm used to writing linear plots.

Okay, so Vee in regards of your characters having their own lives outside of the main character's, how would that work for a book told in first-person? (11:17)
In all honestly, I am 100% guilty of having my side characters be kind of like "actors" as you mentioned, but how can I dive deeper to them and their personal lives through a first person narrative?

It has motivated me hugely and look9so achievable so thank you!! All the best in your writing! 🙌 🌻

Is this wracon storybuilder only for tablets? I downloaded it on my computer and having trouble using it. looks like I'm editing it. How do you write on it without changing it? The demo on the website says 'out of stock'. (?!)
edit: I found a 'demo' at the back of the storybuilder, but it doesn't show how to use it, only shows the creator's example story filling in the blanks.

@@sincerelyvee thank you for your time. I downloaded the story builder on my HP All in one because it wouldn't download on an old tablet I have. When it opens on the computer, it does it with Adobe Reader, but when I try to use it, it looks like I'm changing the layout of the story builder (i.e., deleted the cover page accidentally).
Is this to be used exclusively with a tablet?
