Thanks. Nice Information. I have some doubts. Can you please giide for the same.
My wife is a senior citizen (62 yrs.)
Her income drives from
1). Bank f.d. interest.
2) Dividend from shares and Mutual funds.
3) Short and long term capital gains from Shares and mutual funds.
If her total taxable income is as under
Bank f.d and saving a/c interest 35,000
Short term capital gains from shares and M.F. 3,00,000
Long term capital gains
2,00,000
Investment U/S 80(c) 1,50,000 in ELSS M.F.
Divided- 22,000 Rs.
is she liable to pay any tax for F.Y. 2023-24.
Itr filing mandatory for her.

Thanks. We have been filing her ITR for the last 32 years.
My question is whether she will be liable for any tax payment or her income will be tax free as after available Rs . 1,00,000/ long term capital gain non taxable amount.
