A lady was feeding cat food to racoons at a park I go to. After one was done chowing down, he walked on his hind legs over to a puddle, then proceeded to wash the food off of his front paws. A lot of mammals use front paws/flippers to grasp when possible. Standing up is helpful for spotting predators but 4 legs is better for getting away from them. :)
Honestly. I've seen people act like literal savages in a drive thru...this little guy was quite patient and respectful 😅 ...even though he DID cut in line 😂

I'm a Piney from South Jersey. When I was a kid a couple of my friends found orphaned baby raccoons and kept them indoors as pets. We all saw that Little House on the Prairie episode. Didn't deter us at all. :D
That racoon did not have rabies. Anyone could see that. If it were rabid it would never walk so calmly or take food. The only harm is getting it dependent or trusting of people, then it runs into the won't people. Otherwise, it's adorable, the little guy getting his morning donut

I believe the community of animals knows about know where to get some food😂. When you drive to the drive through. You'll see animals waiting if you will give them something. I believe this has been going on 4-5years of my knowledge. Across the street @ Steak N' Shake does the same thing.

Rocky Raccoon has been there before I think that is just absolutely incredible I love seeing stuff like this I have worked with the military out in the desert at all hours of the night and I had a red fox come up to the side of my Hummer basically asking for something to eat I had some celery sticks with peanut butter he Rich up and grab them just like that raccoon did and scampered off into the night animals are incredible
I hope everyone follows the example and help those little ones ❤. I have in my car food for dogs and cats. I always stop the car and feed them on the streets. For us isn’t that much . For them is everything…❤
If I were that Raccoon, I'd demand a coffee to go with my doughnut. LOL, that critter was so courteous, was patient, and even grinned at the gal as he accepted his treat. Wish all humans behaved this way to fast food, and retail workers. One can only hope right.
It does look like it been there before. I worked at various resto & hotel and almost all of them had some regular cat & dog and even a bird that been showing up there for years.. it becomes a routine with time, the staff will tell the newly hired to give this pet some food and it kept on going from here on

The odds of him being ill is so low, most build up a natural immunity to rabies. If someone is hungry, feed them. period.
