mranderson00001 I like how some deleted scenes have different actors, but the others have the actual actors. It's weird to here Ahsoka with a different voice in 1 scene then here Ashley's voice in another
Agreed. Temple Guards are made to combat Sith and other enemy Force users or lightsaber wielders, and yet Barriss takes them out so easily in that deleted scene. Besides, I prefer the idea of them not interfering with Anakin and letting him fight. Them trying to assist him would probably just make it harder for him to fight Barriss, and the best they could do is surround the 2 so Barriss can't escape and is forced to fight her way out through Anakin and the Temple Guards if Anakin fails (which obviously he doesn't).
It could just be BArriss' own strength too, to be able to defeat Ahsoka, go toe-to-toe with Anakin for a while, and to sneak up on Ventress, but yeah. The temple guards are approximate inquisitor level and she would have had more trouble. Admittedly, she did kinda speedblitz them
The only thing I know that Barriss would have over Ahsoka (who mostly uses Ataru and Shien, though she knows Djem So despite not using it), Ventress (who mostly uses Makashi, possibly with a little bit of Juyo) possibly the Temple Guards (who seem to use Niman due to their usage of double-bladed lightsaber pikes, though I know that one of them, the one who becomes The Grand Inquisitor in Rebels, does use Makashi, so who knows) and pre-Darth Vader Anakin (who knows mostly Djem So and Shien, with a little bit of Ataru, and while he does take inspirations from other forms, it's not nearly as much as he does later when he becomes Darth Vader) is that she seems to use more than one form. Her main form is Soresu (as seen in Attack Of The Clones, she's the Jedi with the blue saber to the left of Luminara with the dark blue robes), but she seems to switch to seemingly Makashi or Juyo when needed.
The extended duel with Anakin and Bariss....geeze, that would've really been neat to see finished and kept in for the DVD/Blueray versions of the episode!
His first in the timeline was a lightsaber from a jedi who wandered too deep in the Geonosian catacombs and found Grievous barely functional but guarded. She died and he took her lightsaber.
damn... but why aren't you happy? I understand if they removed the scene with Revan lol! but it just shows how Barriss became stronger than the other way around...
Maul subduing Sidious with force ability alone? AS IF😂. I’m also glad they didn’t use that jedi chamber extended scene for Ahsoka’s hearing. Because Windu says the senate « requests » but he tells EVERYONE that the council will basically do as they see fit lol. And I also wondered what happened to the jedi sentinels that chased after Barriss and Anakin lmao. She kicked their asses. 300th comment yay At 12:30 Ahsoka could have cut off Grievous shoulders in the motion and therefore making him lose all of his 4 arms. Or she could have at least cut off one shoulder because one of her lightsabers is a bit shorter and maybe couldn't reach as far down.

Also, in "A Jedi's journey" the description of what happened to Ahsoka in "Altar of Mortis" kind of confirms the Rebels theory that the Daughter lived on through Ahsoka: "The Daughter, a Force entity of good, transfers her life force to save Ahsoka."
I believe that line ("They never should have told me to leave"), while incredibly strong, may have been cut because it delivered the wrong message. I've heard in interviews they were trying hard not to have Ahsoka show anything like resentment, bitterness or anger towards the council. She has to leave untainted, true to the ideals and principles of the Jedi Order, more so than the council itself. To so blatantly reproach the council would undermine that concept and suggest a certain amount of enmity she isn't supposed to feel - although it would have been a really impactful and strong line.
desercitus it would've gave her possibility to turn to the dark side and aim against the council, and a possibility to become an apprentice of Count Dooku whom also once became a Jedi, now (thanks to Sidious) he's a tyrant of the Jedi Council and the Republic as well.
15:44 I like how Palpatine keeps Anakin out of any mission he thinks might be too much for him, such as Umbara and now this, as he wants him alive for the future
I actually read those instances differently. I think here in this episode, if Anakin had gone with Obi-Wan the two of them probably could have defeated Maul and Savage. Obi-Wan was able to defeat them on his own after Savage killed the other Jedi (Adi Gallia?). Maul and Savage barely escaped and they probably would have died in their ship if Death Watch hadn't found them. I think this is set not TOO long before RotS so Anakin is pretty strong at this point and he & Obi-Wan would have been too much for Maul and Savage. With that in mind I actually think Palpatine was protecting Maul by keeping Anakin grounded. I think it's hinted through out the Clone Wars ever since Maul's return that Palpatine wanted to use him for something, not just kill him off right away. Which is why he doesn't kill him at the end of The Lawless on Mandalore, he imprisons him. And then in the Son of Dathomir comic which was supposed to be an arc in season 6 or 7, Palpatine lets Maul get rescued so that Maul can lead him back to Mother Talzin and he can end her once and for all. They had a long standing grudge and if left unchecked she could have posed a threat to Palps. BUT EVEN THEN at the end of that comic, when Maul escapes Palpatine says "Everything as happened as forseen. This was a difficult piece to maneuver, but now it is in place. Maul's future has been erased..." Meaning he actually wanted Maul running around out there for some reason. Possibly to throw the jedi off of Palp's trail or just distract them. Or maybe something else. And I feel like in the Umbaran arc, it's a similar situation because the clones and the Republic took Umbara even with Krell taking every possible chance to screw them over. The only difference if Anakin were there, would be the death of less clones and a quicker victory imo. I do wonder why the Republic losing Umbara was so important to Palpatine though. I may be way off on this stuff, you may be right, I just think Anakin could have handled himself in these situations and Palpatine had so many balls in the air at this point in the timeline, it wasn't always about Anakin specifically.
@Harley Moore You're right, Palpatine didn't know Maul was alive after Phantom Menace until the season 4 finale of Clone Wars when he felt Maul's presence again. At which point Palps did not try to kill him, he let him roam until The Lawless where he killed Savage, but not Maul. Why would Palps do that if his end goal was to kill Maul anyways? As we see in the canon, Son of Dathomir, he left him alive and let him escape from his enslavement so that Maul could lead him to Mother Talzin. And even after that, Palpatine didn't care to kill Maul, it wasn't a priority. Then he clearly ordered clones to kill Maul as part of Order 66, so he must have outlived his usefulness to Palpatine by then. So that's why I think once Palpatine found out Maul had survived his duel with Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon, he realized Maul could still be useful to him, namely in tracking down Mother Talzin, but also possibly in other ways.
@@felixweinlinger That's possible. Also the way things shook out, Krell's betrayal dealt a real blow to the image of the Jedi in the eyes of the Republic citizens
Lamar Davis So much for a kid's show. With a alternate version of their fight that shows his head, it's one of those moments where you're thinking "Now that's the Star Wars I know. Violent & Gridy."
I have no doubt that the extended Maul & Savage vs Sidious duel would have been even more epic in completed form than what we got, but the rough animation makes what should be badass look really goofy ^o^
Well, we know why 21:21 was censored for sure... Also I'm a bit disappointed that they cut the Sidious vs. Maul and Savage scene down to what it was considering they idea they had (mostly because Savage sliding down the wall looks hilarious and I wanted to see that finished), but I guess it makes more sense for him to not be caught off-guard by his former apprentice anyways.
It showed she would have stayed otherwise, she probably would have rejoined to in season 7, but i think it's because it showed some anger toward the council or Jedi, she still respects the Jedi after everything, so this scene may ruin that
I really love the fight between pre visla and maul hear because their is no music which really heightens the tension and it even makes it feel more brutal since you hear every sound effect. its like the sword fight in rob roy. sometimes all you have to do is just show.
It's also like in The Phantom Menace, after Qui' Gon's death, when Obi-Wan and Maul fight, giving their all, with no music playing. It would have been even better if it had no music (at least around the middle point of the fight). Also, Visla's beheading at the end is more brutal, because it actually shows Visla's head off his body after he gets beheaded.
I think they should have kept in the scenes with Obiwan Anakin Twilight, Palpatine telling Anakin not to go to Mandalore, Anakin and Padme talking abt Ahsoka, Anakin talking to the council, (Anakin wanting to take the blame for Ahsoka, Anakin saying Ahsoka is his friend) I think all these would have contributed to the relationships in the show.
Ahsoka was in her way. I think she cared and wanted Ahsoka to also go over to the dark side, but she realized that it was better to find a scapegoat, in short, Barriss became like Dooku, who also found potential about Obi-Wan but realized that it was useless and it was better to get rid of
I wish they would have kept in Anakin giving Obi-Wan the Twilight. It was a really nice scene and they both play off of each other's characters very well
I think they should have kept the Anakin and Palpatine scenes for Maul's return arc. Because I was really wondering why Anakin and Maul never faced each other in the series, like what out-of-universe reason made the creators avoid that opportunity. Good to know it was Palpatine's interference but that should have been made clear in the show. This convinces me even more that Palpatine "abduction" in Episode 3 ROTS is definitely to keep Anakin from going to Mandalore and falling for Maul's Trap (Siege of Mandalore). Considering what Maul says in Twilight of the Apprentice in Rebels about Vader, they probably have fought each other at some point. Any confrontation between those two should be shown. Who will tell that story? When and where would that take place? I would also have loved to see more of Anakin's scenes during The Wrong Jedi arc. Particularly, the scene with Padme, Yoda, and Obi Wan. Barriss hugging Ahsoka scene would just have made be suspect her earlier. Good call to cut it. Love seeing the younglings try (keyword) to fight Grievous. Brave, but yeah...no contest. Props to Baby Wookie ripping arms off!!!
They should have kept the ones where Anakin wants to go to get maul with obi wan, and the one where he And Ahsoka give him the twilight, as well as Palpatine talking about maul, it would have added so much more depth
20:20 I wondered why the gun disappeared between shots in the final version. 23:41 I think that would be scarier than them showing the decapitated head on the floor.

Jared Clark I wish we saw more duels or epic moments with Anakin and Obi wan together, like really showing they’re a force to be reckoned with
@@jaredjenkins99 I think Sidious wanted Krell to die because he and Dooku could pose a challenge for Sidiouses plans
25:34 hahaha that jump though :D
Make the barrel roll

@@nightmonkey9748 AAAAAGGGHHHH
23:40 holy shit palpatine
Very Creapy
Matthew Chan God I'm glad they didn't keep that scene in the episode
Matthew Chan I'm guessing they originally intended for him to have his eyes closed?
"YOU SEEM TIRED, CHANCELLOR"
XD
28:45 is new meme material
🤣
lol
28:18 Every time I see mace I want to throw him out of a window myself
There is a deleted scene where Boba spits on Mace in s2
Out the windu
21:22 holy shit I can see his head :O
Darth Maul DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!!!?
Darth Maul but didn't you do that
Lamar Davis So much for a kid's show. With a alternate version of their fight that shows his head, it's one of those moments where you're thinking "Now that's the Star Wars I know. Violent & Gridy."
@@alexslusher16 gritty?
10:45 should totally have been kept in. _"Wookiees are known to do that!"_
44:51 final scene of season seven anyone?
something like that.
Dave filoni does temp for anakin lol
I have no doubt that the extended Maul & Savage vs Sidious duel would have been even more epic in completed form than what we got, but the rough animation makes what should be badass look really goofy ^o^
itd make sidious look weaker then he is.
25:34 the sheev spin
Well, we know why 21:21 was censored for sure...
Also I'm a bit disappointed that they cut the Sidious vs. Maul and Savage scene down to what it was considering they idea they had (mostly because Savage sliding down the wall looks hilarious and I wanted to see that finished), but I guess it makes more sense for him to not be caught off-guard by his former apprentice anyways.
In the swedish version they showed Pre Vizlas head decapitated
Hero 123 could you give a link because I would very much like to see this uncensored cut
@@Berd413 ua-cam.com/video/OtJTOoInYTQ/v-deo.html
wonder why? in Clone Wars movie they literaly showed three alien and one droid head on streches :)
20:54 wtf Maul, were you trying to kiss him or something?
YES
40:10 that line hits me like a train
Peter Hortensius I'm just glad someone else knows that Rob Roy Sword fight. It's one of the best in cinematic history. Liam Niessons awesome.
21:45-21:55, 24:09-24:24 that’s exactly what I wish Anakin Skywalker goes with Obi wan Kenobi to fight with Darth Maul in mandalor.
23:13 helmet phases through ship floor
lol it's "rough" animation for a reason.
I think they should have kept in the scenes with Obiwan Anakin Twilight, Palpatine telling Anakin not to go to Mandalore, Anakin and Padme talking abt Ahsoka, Anakin talking to the council, (Anakin wanting to take the blame for Ahsoka, Anakin saying Ahsoka is his friend)
I think all these would have contributed to the relationships in the show.
Thanks to the clip showcasing the Maul vs Vizsla fight, I now see what it's like to experience a duel with no music.
Nice to get a version of the fight with no music, if only so someone might find a way to take the sounds out of the scene, leaving only the music.
33:58 barriss is totally faking! She behind everything. How could she do this to her own friend?
Ahsoka was in her way. I think she cared and wanted Ahsoka to also go over to the dark side, but she realized that it was better to find a scapegoat, in short, Barriss became like Dooku, who also found potential about Obi-Wan but realized that it was useless and it was better to get rid of
Scene with lightning and Maul pushing Sidious would be great :)
I wish they would have kept in Anakin giving Obi-Wan the Twilight. It was a really nice scene and they both play off of each other's characters very well
Yo the scene with Anakin lending the twilight was hilarious, it kinda ruins the mood of the episode tho so I see why it was cut
Holy shit the ending so sad.
Me: *opens the window to let in some fresh air.

20:20 I wondered why the gun disappeared between shots in the final version.
23:41 I think that would be scarier than them showing the decapitated head on the floor.
I liked the original ending better than the deleted one.
These cg stand ins will forever haunt my nightmares!
25:25-26:56 why did they think THAT needed to go?!
these deleted scenes are so importent to watch becasue it's part of Star Wars The Clone Wars
