Years ago I had a small stained glass shop, I've never tired of the beauty stained glass creates.
I would be terrified but the honor to handle such history and help repair and restore the light that will filter through will probably be the most crystal clear since it's initial installation and that's going to be such a sight to behold.
This is beautiful and I will always love PBS because of things like this

Le Duc was smart this was not the first time Notre Dame was ransacked and burned. During the Revolution the Jacobite's ransacked the church and burned it also thats why Le Duc was brought in to restore it. When Le Duc got there some of the windows were damaged and the iron cores were deformed. If he wanted to make the windows stronger the rings had to go and the struts had to be rotated that way when he put in modern and stronger glass the window could support the panes until this restoration when all of them will be replaced and the old glass and facades sent to the Paris Museum. New glass will be installed and Notre Dame will look like the day when it first opened in the 14th century.
Notre Dame was not burned during the French Revolution. Who told you so ? I am much surprised.
(p.s : by "Jacobites", did you mean "Jacobins" ? As far as I can remember, the Jacobites were British legitimists)

April 15, 2019, there was a massive fire, destroying the roof timbers and melting the lead shingles. The spire was also completely destroyed. But, most artifacts were safely removed and the walls preserved and restoration is about half-complete and it is hoped it will be done by summer of 2024.

As of April 15, 2024, the Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral in Paris, France is scheduled to reopen on Sunday, December 8, 2024, following extensive restoration work after a devastating fire in April 2019.
The reopening will include a procession through the streets of Paris two weeks before the reopening to accompany the return of the Notre Dame statue, and the rebuilding of the spire. The cathedral is also scheduled to remain open until June 8, 2025.
The cathedral's chief architect has said that the reopening will be "breathtaking". The restoration work has included:
__ Finishing the framework
__Cleaning and restoring painted murals
__Rediscovering the colors of the cathedral's 24 chapels, which have returned to their vibrant 19th-century color palette
__Completing wooden stars with 22 carved oak panels depicting the life of the Virgin Mary, which had suffered water damage during firefighting.

It is possible to admire the human achievement of the architecture and artistry independent of the religion.

Set aside your ethics, ignoring the wreckage of blood soaked corpses of unbelievers and women with independent thoughts, the emotionally wrecked bodies of minor child sexual abuse victims, while admiring the pretty things built with the labor and funding from the laity secured under false pretenses and coercion. I can’t simultaneously hold my nose and clap for their achievements. Perhaps you’re more flexible.
