I am 27 now, my mind is more curious than ever because at a young age i took inspiration from men like Hitchens
She did more work than he did.
Christopher was so charming and clever, he was even fun to listen to when you disagreed with him.
There is something different about Hitch in this interview. Never seen him like this before. Little details, like face expressions, his eyes, mouth. He seemed kinda lighter.

Palin is physically attractive without any doubt, however she is indeed bereft of any charisma. Thatcher was a somewhat intelligent woman; Palin could not be afforded such a description.
The most accurate description of Palin I have ever heard was written by Hitchens, when he describes her as: "a deceiving and unscrupulous woman utterly unversed in any of the needful political discourses but easily trained to utter preposterous lies and to appeal to the basest element of her audience".
He is the version if stewie from family guy was a real person but more serious! haha He is brilliant, his comic satire is supreme!
If there was ever a UA-cam video titled to get one's attention, this would have to be it.
And Hitch was the sexiest man of all...Just because he was himself and fought for

When she was in power I was too young to properly appreciate what she meant in terms of politics but now I'm much older I can see just how unfair and divisive her policies really were. Even now in parts of Northern England the economic effects of her policies are still felt.
Yes indeed, Thatcher destroyed whole communities.
But let's be honest, even Alexi Sayle has reflected and condemned the dictatorial attitude of the TUC : their arrogance and self-importance, the boring speeches broadcast live to the nation.
Everyone was pleased to see an end to that.

Well, that massive gut isn't sexy. Neither is his mind at this state. Giving up Socialism, rather than seeking to slightly redefine it, is absolutely Unforgivable.
Hitchens gave up. He probably believed a lot of the Iraq War stuff, I agree with him on most of it.
But, mostly, he sought debate, in the waning years of his life no less, debating against an invisible child's friend and the thing that gives adults a slight amount of pleasure when they die.

I think Sarah Palin's introductory speech at the Republican Convention was full of charisma; and it was nice to see a real free-market advocate next to McCain. But after that she just fell apart...not sure what it was.

A single sentence from a thoroughly inebriated Hitchens would contain more wisdom than whatever diatribe Palin's puppeteers could manage to have her regurgitate.

@@AtticAurel you probably know the answer by now, but must of is just a common typo. "must've" is what they mean, but it sounds like "must of" so it's a common mistake.

I had many thoughts about Margaret Thatcher, but none that she was in any way sexy.

All that needs to be said is that it is "Mrs. Thatcher" and "Sarah Palin". Hitchens' use of language was about as good as it gets. Sure, class standing plays into it but I think the point is intended and not just robotic.

I don’t think the interviewer picked up the very slight double meaning here which is British for “I’m bored, we must start drinking soon?”

Thatcher's politics aside she is a smart, capable woman with massive amounts of personality and strength. She's very traditional and proper as well. These trait make her instantly attractive, at least from a character viewpoint.
I am a conservative but don't rate Palin highly - she's not very well educated it seems. And she doesn't have the force of personality of Thatcher. Few American women do have Thatcher's strength, wit or style...few British women do either!
So Hitch loves Thatcher who opposes a united germany but Hitch was also a great supporter of a united Gemrany. As I grow up I realize how strange this guys ethics are. Still admire him though.
