He particularly likes doing this one because it’s his mums favorite and makes her cry. This was part of a virtual concert he did for all his fans during Covid. I so appreciate your review re Jonathan Antoine's delivery of this song. You explain the mechanics, if you will, of changes in inflection of his voice and key changes. I only LOVE music and do not have the education needed to analyze it. But I can sort of follow your description of it. I've loved music ever since I was very young, so many genres! From Bach to the Beatles and the Eagles as well as music of other cultures around the world. In my humble opinion Jonathan is the best tenor of our era. I actually prefer to listen to him rather than Pavarotti or Bocelli. There is something in Jonathan's voice that other singers lack. I'm in my 70s and have never been this impressed by any other singer!
What a wonderful surprise! I really enjoyed the Gospel-Elvis take on this performance. He is a very endearing singer, I hope he sings for many more years. Is his voice getting deeper? I thought I heard some baritonal moments there, but the top is in shining shape!

He's heading towards being a dramatic tenor. That would account for the baritonal middle register. What vocal talent!!! Awesome.
