I definitely need a flat sheet. Without one, there would be no barrier between our bodies (sweat) and the quilt/comforter, so that would need to be washed every week. That is too much work for me and wear and tear on the quilt. So I guess my question is.... how often are you washing your comforter? 🤔
I do this. But I have a flat sheet and a duvet and a quilt and coverlet lol. I must feel the weight of all the blankets. I keep my bedroom cold so I can snuggle in it all!!!!
This wouldn't work for me...I sit on my bed most of the day...but I always make it first...can't stand an unmade bed...but the comforter needs to be tucked at the top so it doesn't shift around while I'm sitting on it...I'm disabled...so I sit around a lot...😅

Same, a lot easier to wash sheets than a comforter!
It's not a comforter, it's a quilt inside a quilt cover, and the cover gets washed with the rest of the bedding.

Except the flat sheet keeps your oils and sweat off the comforter

I hate the top sheet too but I use cotton quilts so I can wash them weekly
