I'm was so encouraged when you mentioned your mistake in gluing the blessed-thankful-grateful sentiments upside down. It seems like I make a mistake somewhere on every card, and it can be discouraging! But I agree...the best thing to do is persevere and adapt the design to make it work. Thanks for sharing!
Jennifer I have watched you for years. You never cease to amaze me!!! Sooooo why haven’t you developed a die that is “ deep dish” and cuts 3 layers at one time? You only need the detailed die shape on top of your layers.. right😀? You would still have to glue them but cutting 3 at a time would be a great timesaver. I think all the companies you represent would have the technology for this! Just a thought on this early morning utube viewing.. knowing full well I need to do yard work not make a Jennifer McGuire card🤣. That will happen when the snow flies. Again thanks for keeping me inspired and shopping for all the cool gadgets!!!
Spellbinders floral small dies are definitely some of the best out there. So much variety and detail. Love them. Side note - I can only see your hands but your tan looks gorgeous! 😉
You may know this but you can cut fabric with your paper dies. There is a quilting style where they take tiny colorful pieces of fabric and fill a shape like a big unicorn or heart. It is a raw edge applique and the back of the fabric has HeatnBond attached so you cut it and then peel away the paper and iron the little fabric piece down. When the "shape" is full the maker then quilts on top to keep all the pieces attached even though they have been ironed down with the HeatnBond. I think you can even use fabric on your cards with this method. I think it is called "collage quilting" or something but the small dies are great for this!
Great cards and love the ideas. You always come up with some great ideas for stretching our supplies. Glad you are back, I missed the videos. Hope you had a great Family Time together.
Oh my stars, Jennifer these cards are fabulous!! I have to be honest, I am an invalid and art on a wide tray table on wheels that spans the width of my bed ... you would not believe how many of those small die cuts I end up wearing !!! 😂😂😂 But, seeing how you use those small trays to hold the bits is pure brilliance and I clearly could use some too. Thank you for every detail you include - it matters and is so worth those extra minutes you share! ❤️👏🏻😘
It always makes me giggle when you say "nobody will ever know" - we all know LOL! But it's cool how you show that we all make mistakes, love that! Love the ideas you always spark from your videos too. Thank you!!!!
I do love those little dies for embellishing…and now I’m going to use them for the cards just like this!!! And I wanted to say to you, please don’t apologize for spending time with your beautiful family ♥️♥️♥️
Before I even watch the video I have to tell you that when I saw the email notice about your video (while I was at work) I was so happy. I thought, "Now I have something to look forward to!"
Thanks, Jennifer! Now I know what else to do when I get into a crafting slump. So far, I've been cutting through my scraps to make up a bunch of diecuts to have on hand to use later. I store them in snack sized ziplock bags in a clear shoebox. But, that box is getting pretty darn full! And I need to start chomping up more scraps! Win win win!
I love the way you encourage us to think outside of the box, fully utilizing the supplies on hand. Your cards always turn out beautiful and stunning. Thank you for your creative inspiration.
I like the idea you shared…using masking paper to hold dies together. I have watched lots of your older videos as well so I have learned a few tricks from you! I use Press & Seal to do the same thing and it is so effective and easy. I also like that I can see through it when I am placing the grouping onto my cardstock. Thanks for sharing!
I can't tell you how gratifying it was to watch you make the same mistake I make (over and over) by glueing things down in the wrong direction! Thank you for being human! (You are still my scrapbook goddess!)
You did a wonderful job on all of these cards!!! Thank you for sharing!!! I really love watching your videos!!! You bring much joy to me!!! Thank you!!! LINDA (SWER-ZIN-SKEE) 💜 from NJ. 😀😇🌺
Awesome awesome ideas! Certainly gives us the ability to stretch the use of our dies…..especially the little ones that often get much less use! A million thanks 🙏🏼 😊
Love how you suggest that we look at our craft stash to find those tiny dies to help recreate these beautiful designs. Thank you for spreading your sharing handmade kindness through cardmaking💗
What a great tip to use masking paper to hold the small dies in place to cut multiple passes of different colors. Love these cards and this video. Super job!
Jennifer, I always love your ideas and your cards. Thanks so much for all your hard work producing them. Love the wreath... but gotta say, I would've chosen different colors. This looks more like a beach card than a holiday wreath... but then maybe that was your intent!
Beautiful cards, & such fantastic ideas for using the small dies we all have. Thank you so much for sharing these with us. I love the last card with the offset border die. It really does look like a layering die.
This was another amazing video jam packed with so many ideas. Love the tip about using a piece of card stock to cut a sentiment strip. I can’t tell you how many strips I have to cut to get just one straight and even! Thank you for sharing your creative ideas. The cards are beautiful!
Your cards are always so pretty! I save all of them for ideas, yours are great! You always come up with different ideas, your mind works overtime. Thank-you very much!🙂💕
Love these cards 😍 especially as I have some of the dies! 😁 Also love it when you show how even experts make mistakes & how you saved it. 😊 Thanks for sharing x
Love these ideas! I have quite a few sets of dies with tiny dies included and I never know what to do with them. This gives me a new way to look at them besides embellishing the set they came with. Thank you again for your gentle instruction. Enjoy your family time, you should never apologize for time spent with your children and spouse.
Gorgeous cards. Loving the wreath card and the color combo...back in thee 90" my livingroom and X-Mas Tree used to be in those colors....thinking of Christmas past pics that I have of the kiddos in the living room....may have to use something similar on a X-Mas scrapbook page!
Absolutely beautiful 😍 cards Jennifer. Always love 💕 your ideas. I have put my sentiments on upside down before too and of course had to fix it and then I laughed at myself.
Amazing tips! I plant my pots the same way but never once thought of the "names"! That's so cool! Wonderful video! Thank you for all your work, sharing, and teaching!
I always appreciate you leaving your "oopsies" in the videos.....so that when I make one (which is more often than I like to admit), I can remind myself if JM makes them, it's ok!! Just fix it and keep it moving!! :) LOVE your videos, tips and positivity....it all really inspires me!
Gorgeous cards! Love the way you teach new techniques, tips and tricks for getting the most out of things bought for creating 💙💛! Keep believing and creating 🙏
thank you so much for the great tip about cutting sentiment strips ! You must have read my frustrated mind trying to get a perfect result over and over again and failing! Pretty pretty fall cards and I love the colors! Thank you again for all you do to help us!
I just tried the masking paper for dies like you showed. I love it and have been cutting out multiple colors of leaves. Makes it so easy to transfer from one color to another or just the same color many times. Soon I'll be doing that with my flowers. Thank you Jennifer!
These cards all look amazing! I think it's great how you and Kristina had such similar ideas independently! Both videos were wonderful. Thank you for making and sharing it!
