I have drag raced my Kia sonet 1.0 petrol turbo against 1.2 ltr Brazza. Brezza is quick off the line for 30 mtrs then the sonet turbo kicks in and it blast past brezza as if it’s standing still. No lag in the engine. This is a video for brezza self satisfaction

I have driven brezza 1.5 petrol and venue 1.0 turbo manual but i felt that BREZZA is faster than venue in both 0 to 100 and in gear acceleration
Brezza has naturally aspirated 1.5l enginge which has great low end punch. However sonet turbo has low end lag and picks up only after 3000 rpm

U r right...because turbo kicks in hot air into induction manifold. And subsequently to engine for combustion. For a little while volumetric efficiency drops because of this and performance of engine slows down

And you’re being so illogical lol, you’re saying 1.2 and 1.5L cannot be compared but 1.0 and 1.5 can be 😂. If there’s a race between the sonet turbo version and brezza, and When brezza will win against sonet turbo then you Kia fanboys will squabble again about the difference in engine sizes.
And for your information sonet turbo petrol takes 12.5 seconds to reach 100 whereas brezza petrol takes only 11.3 sec
Both the cars are in the same segment so there’s nothing unfair about this comparison.
Turbo engine is good during initial pickup but after 2000 rpm you feel the real power of 1.5 litre engine..brezza engine is best in it's segment,very refined,very powerful.
And its such a shame that Kia has literally put in a 1 litre engine in a SUV. It isn’t even a suv at this point, just a hatchback with a large ground clearance.
