Why are you sending prayers NOW? These people needed water and now they're getting it... Wait you weren't sending prayers before all this water showed up? Oh my, well if it wasn't specifically requested of God, then where did all this water come from? I'm sure it's from all the people that were actually praying when the lakes were drying up. We have to do our best to survive in an era of god-made climate change.
Was Jesus sleeping during the fires? Too much for him to deal with? On vacation in Florida? Drunk and couldn't find his way to the big RAIN switch in the sky?

How funny. The dam in Lake Tahoe, where the Truckee River begins is only 6 feet tall. While the river may run dry, the lake probably never will since it is over one thousand feet deep.
I drove to Lake Tahoe in 2004 in my new car. I couldn't believe the noise pollution all day and night from the new freeway system. 25 years earlier, it was enjoyably quiet and peaceful. An example of why most government people suck.
California should start building lots of desalination plant. The drought will come back and probably in more frequent. Plan ahead for it and don't just sit and wait.
It's way too expensive for the amounts of water needed. Never will happen. One of my uncles was born on the island of Aruba which desalinates. It's very expensive.
How would you like to be a water manager. Probably pulling down six figures to sit in an office and say, well it's raining I guess we ought to open the floodgates. I should have went to college.
Wow...such a great news. Lets celebrate and continue to waste water like there's no tomorrow. Mainstream is so good at giving false impression like drought is over. The long winter in most southern California, Arizona, New Mexico is predicted to be very dry and below average rainfall. The entire news video didn't mention one word about CONSERVATION.
Water management is a must if you want to live and work in the climate you've chosen to live in, California should have been planning on drought decades ago and not just for the sake of a full swimming pool. Some of you must have gotten your answers to prayer. Drought and fire can be mitigated if you are willing to make the sacrifices today for the benefit of your children.
CA did begin planning for drought decades ago. The lessons learned from and measures implemented after the 1976-77 and 1987-93 droughts enabled the state to make it through subsequent droughts and the current one even with substantial population and agricultural growth.
@@Jeff-tk3nd Jeff, I won't waste your time with argumentative drivel, Californians have fallen short miserably and I shouldn't critique the state of standard civil preparedness. Its indemic x 50+. Please enjoy the shower!
Still, the majority of this precipitation runs off the hill, especially when so much sediment is part of the stream, is an indication this rainfall doesn’t reach the subsoil aquifers, which also need replenishing, to truly put California’s thirst on a sustainable level.
@@aaf6133 Is that sarcasm? Without this lucky gift of welcome precipitation California would have faced an imminent water crisis. Now, at least some time has been bought. However, when California doesn’t act now to change its water intake, people and businesses will be hit hard by shut down water mains in the near future.

I was hoping that he would have shown up in Sacramento. There's plenty of clogged drains for him down here

Let’s hope our politicians don’t screw it up again.
Let's fill up those reservoirs
The Truckee River is gorgeous
Wow California is so happy with the rain, they can`t believe it.
In Truckee we usually get a lot of snow like 20 ft but last year was adrought so getting the rain was so helpful
Thank God I have extra minute showering now LOL
I remember 77, it was quite the deal
Let the water flow like it used to! Let’s go!

Thanks to Comcast Cable in the northern California San Francisco Bay area they no longer carry news from Sacramento and boy do I miss it dearly
