Imagine seeing a beast that size from the top of a distant hill, or ridge. You'd feel the sound of its roar in your bones, and nearly be swept backwards with each flap of its wings. Terrifying, and yet majestic.

Despite how intimidanting the sounds are, the image of the happy kid with his mom watching very calmed down the beast makes me think the dragon is a protector, wich is kind of relaxing.

I love this. I love this so much. The image is everything. It gives me such an explainable yet unexplainable vibe to the point where "a single picture says a thousand words" comes to play perfectly here.

1. The creature covers almost the entire screen with its body and wings.
2. It's standing right behind big mountains so that you can directly compare them, which communicates its colossal size.
3. In between the dragon and the hill the humans are standing on, there is fog. This tells us that it's standing very far away (as does the scale of the mountains). This communicates its size even more.
4. For more effect, it offers a human perspective, not only where one adult stands and watches it in awe, but also while holding a child. The perspective that offers the size difference between the child, the adult, the landscape, the mountains, and finally, the unimaginable creature.
The very fact that the dragon, a living and breathing creature as opposed to an inanimate landscape, is on top of the chain of the size comparisons sends a powerful message.

Honestly, most of those are just various animal sounds with waaay too much reverb and echo. They're nice enough, on their own... but something that big, exhaling that quickly in a show of force, probably sounds like a mix between a tornado (which sounds like a freight train), and a god damn rocket launch. I've been to a shuttle launch in Cape Canaveral before. Watched from the balcony of the condo a mile or two away. EVERYTHING shook and we had to cover our ears. :>
It's just, with that kind of size, any vocal sounds would be so low we wouldnt hear them - all we'd hear is the air exploding out. I imagine there'd be an initial shockwave, followed by the deafening sound of, well, tornado+rocket.

Like, that image tells a thousand words. You don't even need a backstory or some existing lore, it already tells a tale about some fantasy world. A world where massive beasts bigger than mountains stride across the landscape, inspiring awe in the puny insects who claim to rule the planet. The sound just makes that world all the more real.

I like to think given how the woman and child seem to be looking at it with admiration and not fear that this dragon is more a kind of ancient guardian. It could survive on ambient energies of some form and only awakens when there is a grave and dire threat of some kind that mere humans can not deal with on their own.
I can only imagine being a BBEG who is two steps from ending all life on a continent only to find this thing staring him/her down last minute.

@@priyanshsahay3573 That’s still kinda terrifying to think about. The “smaller” ones would have to be the size of a small mountain to be considered a smaller creature that hunts these things.
If there’s something hunting it, that means there’s _more_ of those dragons and _more_ of whatever smaller creatures are hunting it. What’s even worse is that they’d have to fight in packs to keep up with the thing, so now there’s basically packs of mountain-sized creatures running around.

I imagine this in two ways...
1.) This is a Dragon Mother Disciplining and Parenting her Dragon babies when they misbehave.
2.) They Power, Anger and sadness of a Dragons yell when he/she lost a loved one.
Idk but, i got this feeling what i want in reality where you can have an adventure, witnessing dragons, monsters, mountains, conquer quest, and the feeling of freedom and breezing air. Its so unexplainable tbh...
This is how i imagine Ancalagon's roar would sound.
This incident is forever imprinted in my memory.
Once, in my childhood, my Mom took me and carried to a place i had never seen before.
It was a huge valley beyond the forest. The grass spread over her like a carpet. Then there was a canyon with a river flowing along its bottom. Behind it were mountains that looked like giant columns. It happened in the early morning. The sun began to gradually illuminate them from the tops to the foothills.
Looking at all this beauty, i was mesmerized. And suddenly my Mom interrupted my contemplation: "Sonny, look at this!" And i saw something that i didn't notise at first (and it was strange!)
It was a huge creature. It was... A Dragon. He was huge... No, colossal size! I've never seen anything like this before! It was a dragon three mountains high, its scales were brighter and cleaner even than platinum! Unbelievable! Amazing!
His wings were so big, that they covered half the sky! I could not believe it!
His tail was so long that it stretched somewhere beyond the horison! The spikes covering his body were like rocks of the whitest marble! And most importantly- his roar. When i heard his growling... I felt uneasy. The power of his growl was like the rumble of a fire-breathing mountain or an earthquake! But nevertheless, it was not fatal, although it was frightening and terryfying.
I snuggled up to my mom as much as possible, and already wanted to cry, but my mom calmed me down: "Don't be afraid, sonny, this dragon is not an enemy, he is our friend. He has been kind since the beginning of his birth, and remains so to this day! The people of our places call him the Protector of humans and the King of Dragons! No one knows when he was born, what his age is and where he came from, but he has been living in our valley for a very long time. And the Dragon King loves children like his own father."
After listening to my mother, l calmed down and stared at the majestic King.
All this time he stood as if listening to his mother's story... And then he turned to us. He looked at us as if we were his family. He bowed slightly to us and growed softly. After that, he raised his head, inhaled loudly and exhaled. And then he opened his incredibly huge wings and instantly soared into the sky and seemed to disappear into the clouds.
And i never saw him again in my life. But they say he comes when someone is in danger. At the call of the heart.
People talking about the reapers in subnautica being scary, but it would be worse if you met a huge group of them, heard that roar in the distance, then the reapers start dispersing away from the area, while ignoring you.
That’s the Imperator Titan in a nutshell.

Those beast are probably harmonious towards other creatures. Thus the mother and the child are not scared instead the child is in awe while the mother is explaining what that collosal beast is probably.

For the picture, I imagine that those child and woman are the dragon's family. The dragon is the child father's true form, which mean the child is descendant of almighty dragon
