They cancele the show because she claimed that a popular streamer (and commentator) "Aris" was being physically inappropriate with her. It was sad that they had to cancel the web series, but i honestly thought this girl disappeared from the FGC since all this happened. I guess not.
The fact that Aris is more popular than ever as a streamer over a decade later and a figure of good standing in the Tekken community, even when he's often outspoken and abrasive, and his supposed harassment victim is also getting along just fine in the FGC, tells me what a huge nothingburger that controversy was, really just games journalism being games journalism. The real victim was SFxT, that game was "cursed" (by Capcom's utter greed and mismanagement, riding too high off SF4's success) to have everything it possibly could going against it. IIRC, the controversy happened from Yan walking off and crying during the event because Aris made an offensive joke. He got a lot of crap from game journalists about it, not just for the joke but for defending it as being a part of the old FGC attitude, where they're not coddled and don't pull any punches when it comes to trash talk. I don't know if he ever apologized personally to Yan about it, but he probably didn't feel compelled to with everything that happened in the fallout of that and him getting all the blame for ruining the event. AFAIK there was no sexual misconduct going on, not even a false accusation. Otherwise Aris would've been in _really_ hot water even though he was innocent, due to aforementioned journalists preying on people's presumptions over female victimhood in male-centric spaces. They'd have tried to completely destroy his public image and probably would've succeeded.
Super_Yan is good with Aris long since after that event happened. People bringing that shit up like they still have a beef with each other or that Aris is still being the same person as he was when he harassed her is just looking to drama bait. Again, Super_Yan is cool with Aris. Even defended him from drama baiters on twitter, too.
