Most beat saber song charts need some improvement as in being bland and repetitive at times but I feel like the skrillex pack has the best charting out of all the songs in other packs
The mappers have definitely improved over time, especially when it comes down to the flow of songs and charting sequences that feel natural. A lot of OST1's E+ maps for example feel janky and confusing rather than actually difficult in a fun way. I feel like they've been taking pages out of custom song mappers' playbooks, letting others' ideas contribute to how they put together their own game, and it really is nice to see. :)

After a certain point, you don't have to. You practice the level enough and it starts to become muscle memory, but even when it comes down to playing a level for the first few times and relying on reflex, your brain is always subconsciously planning a few steps ahead. They're not reacting to each individual note, they see a group and know what movements they have to do to get through that group, and after enough hours in the game it comes instinctively without thinking. I've been playing daily for about a month, and I've found it really is amazing what the brain can do!
@@bright0nsounds true! I’ve been playing since June and now can beat most maps on hard and a few on expert, but it takes a ton of practice
