Lovely video , starting with that glorious sunrise . Seems like the crowds are depleting your sea glass supply at Seaham . I understand now why you keep only the best and throw back the rest . Keep doing what you're doing Andy . Happy Hunting 🙂 x
@BevWilson-vr5hh ahh thank you!! Can't beat the east coast for sunrises (shame I'm not normally up early enough 😂) hahaha yea... its a shame that people literally hoover up the beach with bits that aren't quite ready ... but I used to do the same when I first started... its the excitement 🥳 😂😂
I'm so jealous! All that gravel! Bound to be some goodies there. I'd be so happy to find those little bits of glass that you don't keep. Beachcombing is my happy place.
It's normally like that for most of the beach! ... I didn't do too great, but i saw some awesome pieces that were found that day... honestly starting the day on the beach... it puts you in such a good state of mind for the day... or to chill at the end of one 🤟 thanks for watching
Crazy isn't it! I think with the seas being calm a lot of the suspended sand in the water has dropped covering everything... gonna maybe try to time it with a bit of surf next time... I'm surprised Karl didn't try to get the log in the car...😂
It was lush... I MIGHT have found like 2 bits you could use... I'll have a wee look later one in my treasure chest ☠️ 🏴☠️ 😂😂 but yea... sandy as anything, should have walked down to shippersea, but keep getting lured in by the promises of multis 😂😂
I've visited Seaham this past June, must say it was such a disappointment, hardly any multis at all, lots of green, and clear, but hardly any other colour,if you could get a red, yellow,or blue,it was so tiny, not worthwile at all. Much different than from my previous visit from four years ago. I think the unique multis we were after, are all depleted or picked up by the thousands of visitors, and jewelry makers.
Ah that's a shame... it can be hitty missy depending on the conditions... summers not the best time, like you say, the tourism takes a lot, but then the seas aren't very rough this time of year so things don't get stirred back up... there's plenty there on the right day though, hope you have better luck next time... I'm looking forward to September/October when the first of the winter swells start rolling through ❤
What a breathtaking sunrise 😮!
Gotta say those malties are awesome!😍👍.love it
It was amazing! 5 mins on the video before I picked anything up was like half an hour in real life of me just wandering round going "WOW" 😂😂❤
Have a beautiful morning Clare 🫶😎

Such a beautiful sunrise! I've never seen the beach so sandy before I was shocked when you sent me a clip the other day!

@@TheHappyPicker Ohhh fingers crossed! I had a look through the bits of Seaham glass I do have left and they're so teeny tiny 🤣
