I'm fairly new to the game and seeing invested players still getting excited about deck building with new mechanics feels great. Looking forward to trying both "normal" alliance stuff and some unhinged mother d reaper stuff.

Another top end if you didn't want to use Ruin or Quartzmon option would be Ordinemon. You can play the BT8 Cherubi by deleting the Purple Cherubi you just evolved into for 3 cost, bring the purple cherubi back from it's effect then DNA into Ordine. I personally still think the Ruin option would be stronger but I'd actually use Ordine over Quartz

Honestly, that combo is not actually that easy to pull off in practice. In playtesting I found it takes a fair amount of set up (and some luck) to get into purple Cherubimon without passing turn AND have BT9 yellow Cherubimon IN hand AND Ordinemon to pull it off.
Alliance is a come out of the gates swinging fast for aggro momentum deck

@@Blast112 oh it's 100% not consistent though the memory issue can be ignored if you happen to have either a memory tamer or have simply used Green Mem Boost earlier, needing Cherubi in hand in addition to Ordine when neither of them can be searched is a pretty tall ask. The best top end without question right now is Ruin Mode. I do stand by Ordine being better than Quartz though. The fact of the matter is, if you're playing alliance and not using Ruin, you're just playing for the Memes and that's when you'd use Ordine haha.
That being said, now that we're closer to BT13 being released, the true second choice for the level 7 would be BT13-059 Examon. It's searchable by the Terriermon/Lopmon, can be evo'd into when using Alliance for a cost of 2, suspends something that can't be unsuspended when evolving and, most importantly, allows you to unsuspend to do another attack or, if the attack won't be for lethal, just be unsuspended on your opponent's turn so they can't attack into it.
I still personally think Ruin Mode would be the best choice of top end but the extra aggression may be able to bring it over the edge and opens up the Level 6 slot so you're not as limited to staying with the Cherubimon's. Still expect you'll want to run the Purple Cherubi but you might want something like say BT9 DinoRexmon that, All turns, Once per Turn, when an opponent's digimon with 6000DP or less is suspended, delete that digimon. This means, when your opponent uses Marcus to Attack with to evo their digimon for free, you can delete the Marcus so they don't get the check and, hopefully, not have another Marcus on board to go into Burst Mode

I like this version of the deck! I'm a fan of using digi-burst BlackWarGrowlmon with Cherubimon in a purple base to get 4 checks in one turn with just 4 memory.
You may want to consider Alice McCoy to facilitate Shinegreymon Ruin Mode turbo since you can sac whatever the dual tamer played or whatever the Cherubimon granted revival to.
Btw, some players have played around with an Examon top end that you might find interesting.
    Happy cooking!

7:44 Quick question, for some reason I’ve been hearing Ruin mode would become a staple that could replace DeathX, why is that? Or did that just mean a staple for Purple decks that could synergize better.

In response to the guy who wants a full deck list picture, you should include it, but only in one random frame in the video so they have to go look for it.

Wait, does the yellow lopmon really work? Since it specifies Shu-Chong specifically, not cards with Shu-Chong in name? Or is that rule only for digimon?

8i'd prefer Ordine over Quartz and put in BT8 Cherub. Take out the Quartzmon and definetly the pomumon. I think the 4 Chu Chong wongs wwould be a bit to much but i understand. getting to play ANY lopmon with it sounds tight. Also love the purple option card inclusion it's very clever because those rookies you play with the Henry/Chu combo will die anyway. Also VERY COOL Ruin Mode combo. If i get my hands on one i'd definetly try it (but i won't get my hands on one i'm afraid)

Wait, I think that means you would bring back the Cherubimon, not the Ruin Mode. Even if you could bring back the Ruin Mode doing that, in order to pull it off, you'd have to digivolve into Cherubimon, then into Ruin Mode, then attack with Ruin Mode, all in the same turn, which would take at least 8 memory.

Cherubi gives itself an on deletion effect until the end of your opponent's turn that says "on deletion: play this card without paying memory cost" So if you digivolve into Ruin mode that turn, it keeps that effect and can play itself after it's deleted

@@vdub62387 Mother reaper base decks sacrifice the ability to digivolve safely in the back. It also removes the ability to get a digimon onto the field for free.
Half the decks out right now kill/remove all level 3s and most level 4s by accident. While also choking you at one memory.
Meaning half the time you hard play a level 3 pass turn then the opponent doing normal turn things removes your level 3 and then chokes you to less than 3 memory. Passes turn to you again where you hard play another level 3 or 4 pass turn, and the opponent murders it while not focusing on removal.
There is too much easy removal for level 3s and 4s in the game to be able to play that style safely.
