It's amazing and very stupid that, after a 22 minute demo that proves all the settings this pedal has and almost every permutation it can perform , some people still claim it's junk. It's not THE best, obviously, but it's very competent.
People are saying shit all the time and this pedal is actually better than Boss delay pedals. It's very easy to use and you can save 9 settings. Maybe the looper function isn't that good but delays sound very nice. I like the analog and tape echo.
Another great (and exhaustive) demo. Some of these emulations (like the Multi head) are not that usual in cheap pedals... or even in some more expensive stuff. I'm definitively adding this (and the Mod Force) to my to-buy list. they are certainly worth the extra cash compared to the Core line. Thank you very much for showing me these pedals!
haha lots to demo in 20 mins ;) I agree! its also hard to find a delay/looper that will loop every type of delay in the pedal.. usually at this price the looper is a setting and cant be used with the delays.. you're welcome man! glad you like them :D
Ryan, first I'd like to compliment your tonality and playing/phrasing in general! Kudos to you, overall it sounded well rounded and authentic and I'm definitely going to subscribe to hear more of the kind. Like someone else mentioned, your playing style caused this pedal to shine, too; I love how you switched it up every now and then to show a different musical application to the settings. That also leads me to saying that was a great demo, really comprehensive! It reminded me a lot of one of my other favorite guitarist/demo-er, 'Knobs'. I love how you played more than enough, but you made sure to tweak thoroughly. Thanks again, awesome job!
First of all, thanks for the video - your demos are really, really helpful when it comes to knowing a pedal better. Great work. I have to say that this pedal - and other Nux pedals, it seems - is quite the surprise: inexpensive but still well built (Behringer, please take note as this is proof that you can keep a pedal cheap and still have something that won't break so easily) and "honest" with its features, so to speak. No, it doesn't have the character that some pedals have, but the sound quality is surprisingly good for a pedal that cheap. I also like the fact that it is stereo both in input and output, as it means that you can apply it to both guitars and stereo synths with no bigger issues. It's amazing how only a few years ago it was hard to find pedals like these and now they're everywhere. Those starting to work on music at home nowadays surely have some great, great options if they don't have much money but still want to keep a certain level of quality. Nice!
hey man thanks for the demo, indeed you are responsible of my buying this pedal, I was on the market to get a delay pedal for a small board that I am building and I came across your video, awesome video quality and the sound is just perfect, you chose to play the right way to demo this pedal, after seeing your demo it was a no brainer, very affordable, multiple delays with time subdivisions, looper and being able to store presets, indeed props to the people of NUX. yeah👍😆
Great review. The only reason I am hesitant to buy this is because some of the most recent reviews on amazon said they got defective pedals or they stopped working shortly after getting it.
Thanks for the video Ryan, this product seems interesting.. Only one thing, do you know if there are different models of this pedal? because online you can find it in a large range of prices (from £35 to £100) but I can't see any differences in descriptions...
I'm not really sure.. I know the Core series has Standard and Deluxe Versions.. but they have different casings I think.. I only had this pedal for about a week.. it cost around £40.. I wouldn't spend more than that though £100 seems too high!
the loop will automatically loop play back from the beginning the moment you finish it.. so that interval is always non existent to keep the loop natural :)
Good job Ryan, been dithering over this one for a while but I think I'm sold.Gonna throw the mod force in the basket too I think. They have metal chassis, right?
Yes bro got em last week, been using your dems to familiarise myself with em,much simpler than trying to figure out the Chinglish leaflets.Tidied up my board too having all delays and mods on just 2 pedals.Cheers.
Check 13:07 min, Ping Pong delay don´t bounce between the left and right outputs!!!! I bought one, and is the same. Pingpong delay does not work in stereo!
That will have something to do with not having a stereo instrument plugged in, this video only showing mono input only, so maybe you need stereo in to get true stereo out.
It not depends of the inputs, only the output, check the previuos delay (Stereo Delay) in 12:00 min, it sound true in stereo!, but ping-pong delay not. Anyway, I test in my Timeforce and also PP Delay works in mono. It´s a bug of this type of delay.
not really as each pedal will work differently, some pedals require a stereo input to get true stereo ping pong. This pedal auto detects mono/stereo input signal and selects routing approprately.
I'm not sure if you can? Mine was always on BPM.. if you want to factory reset the pedal you have to turn it off, then while holding the save button insert a cable into the input jack.. the pedal will turn on and the restore menu will appear.. press the ON/OFF switch to restore the pedal to factory settings.. or press the TAP switch to exit the restore menu without a factory reset.. hope this helps :)
Bought one of these but is going back as faulty out of the box. Works for a few minutes and then cuts out so ally you hear is the dry sound of the guitar with a high pitched whistle.
On this pedal? Or by NUX? no reverb on this pedal from what I remember but NUX have a reverb called the Oceanic.. I have a demo here @ ua-cam.com/video/lJ0AUO5dNcQ/v-deo.html if you're interested :) thanks for the comment Tony!
depends what you are looking for really.. I really like the echo machine for ambient stuff.. but the Nux has a lot of adaptability and an easy access tap tempo.. personally I'd choose the echo machine but thats out of personal preference :D
Hey Ryan, I notice that whenever you crank the feedback knob up to the max and let the delay go mad, there’s really no change in volume output. You didn’t add gain reduction to your video or something, right ? Is this how the pedal is programmed ? Thanks for all you videos that have guided me really well so far
I wouldn't have added any gain reduction :) I believe that's how the pedal is programmed! I can't give you a 100% certainty though, I haven't played with the pedal for years.. apologies! Ah I'm glad my videos have helped! Thanks for watching :)
Amazing demo! I'm considering buying this pedal, but I´ve read some comments saying you can't save the delay Time in the presets. Did it happen to you?
thank you :) sadly i didn't have the pedal long enough to try out any of the preset stuff.. this is the first i've heard of this problem though.. maybe try the pedal before you buy it if you can?.. seeing as it has a tap tempo function, for live playing this shouldn't be much of an issue as long as your actual delay sounds are saved :) hope this helps!
Yes you can, you can set the pedal to 8 different sub divisions (whole note, half note, quarter note, dotted quarter, eighth, dotted eighth, sixteenth and dotted sixteenth) at the touch of a button. It's a decent little pedal.
I love the sound and was looking for exactly such a pedal but all the comments about how the unit just stops working after a short time have scared me off. Check ouit the other comments here and at Amazon before you buy. Bummer.
bAngoSkank100 thanks :) honestly cant remember I only had the pedal a few days.. is there an NUX dealer near you? might be an idea to try play it before buying it :) sorry i cant help more
Nice pedal, had it for a year and died, just died, and I know from other people that happened the same to them. For the price is good but it can die in any moment for no reason.
Zee Ng Apparently this pedal makes a distinction between a mono and a stereo input signal, and if it's mono (like a guitar), even if you're using stereo for the output, it won't ping-pong. Or so it seems.
It's amazing and very stupid that, after a 22 minute demo that proves all the settings this pedal has and almost every permutation it can perform , some people still claim it's junk. It's not THE best, obviously, but it's very competent.

There other delays are better. Add a jam man to the series for better results, or cheaper if you already have the other two.
Another great (and exhaustive) demo.

Finally a video that helped me with this pedal thank you
Still a most amazing pedal in my collection
Though the sound settings is too dark, it`s probably the best demo for this device
First of all, thanks for the video - your demos are really, really helpful when it comes to knowing a pedal better. Great work.

The best review ever made! Right in the point. Very descriptive and easy to compare.

Great review. The only reason I am hesitant to buy this is because some of the most recent reviews on amazon said they got defective pedals or they stopped working shortly after getting it.
Oh!! I had to mention the quality of the tones this pedal has, and if this pedal sounds like in this video, it's awesome delay quality.
How many layers can you use when loop function is enabled?
Really weird that the pingpong sound doesn't actually pan around for some reason. I'm confused. Is it really as mono as it sounds in this video?
Simply, "AWESOME".
Thanks.. 👍🏻😎
what is I/O in its setting?
Thanks for the video Ryan, this product seems interesting..

Ryan Lutton I totally agree...thanks for your reply!
can one change ALL settings while looping eg. note divisions?
the Looper, how long it can record? and for how many overdub?
thx
40sec .i got one.soft pedal, good multidelay for practic
How long can you loop ?
Excellent review
Hi
Separately, I can use this as a looper pedal effect without delay or effect the delay will sound continuously ???
Good afternoon. In the loop execution , it is possible to set the interval between the end of the loop and the beginning of it. ?
the loop will automatically loop play back from the beginning the moment you finish it.. so that interval is always non existent to keep the loop natural :)
Wow this thing sounds amazing! Think i buy one. Which is your favourite cheap delay?
good demo man.. thanx!!
thank you :)
Good job Ryan, been dithering over this one for a while but I think I'm sold.Gonna throw the mod force in the basket too I think. They have metal chassis, right?
yes the do :) sorry for the late reply I've been out of the country! hope you're enjoying the pedals

@@guitarrista248 Mine works fine. Ping pong in stereo.
How setting the tempo from BPM to MS? And how factory reset the time force?

+Ryan Lutton tnx 👍
Bought one of these but is going back as faulty out of the box. Works for a few minutes and then cuts out so ally you hear is the dry sound of the guitar with a high pitched whistle.
Did you use an AC 9v power supply?
Does this pedal works well on acoustic guitars too?
Are there any effects that will simply give you reverb? Without any delay? Thanks!
Tony
On this pedal? Or by NUX? no reverb on this pedal from what I remember but NUX have a reverb called the Oceanic.. I have a demo here @ ua-cam.com/video/lJ0AUO5dNcQ/v-deo.html if you're interested :) thanks for the comment Tony!

depends what you are looking for really.. I really like the echo machine for ambient stuff.. but the Nux has a lot of adaptability and an easy access tap tempo.. personally I'd choose the echo machine but thats out of personal preference :D

@@RyanLutton thanks for the quick reply man, have a good one
Do the presets save the BPM?
Does the Looper have stop function but without deleting the loop that is made?
No sorry
Can we change the preset by pressing the on/off button? Since I saw 'hold for preset' there
Yes, but no tap tempo in preset mode
Yes, but no tap tempo in preset mode
i have been using this effect since 1 month ago,and now mine isn't works, cause there is not delay working when delay on
can you help me?
I'm not very familiar with this pedal.. I only had it to make this demo.. try contacting NUX @ info@cherubtechnology.com :)
restart helped me
How setting the tempo from BPM to MS ?is it possible ?can i change the tempo not by the tap bottom?
I honestly cant remember, sorry.. I'm not even sure if you can? maybe check the manual? you can find it online :)
THANKS
hey, did you find it out? i can't make it work as MS.... and i saw loads of videos on YT and it seems it's like that out of the box, but not mine :/
Does this pedal oscillate?
Sick stuff! What guitar and amp/speakers are you using?
Amazing demo!
I'm considering buying this pedal, but I´ve read some comments saying you can't save the delay Time in the presets. Did it happen to you?

yes you can save your presets up to 9.
can choose eight dotted note?
I'm pretty sure! I don't have this anymore so I can't check.. you'll be able to find the manual online though! it probably says in there :)
Yes you can, you can set the pedal to 8 different sub divisions (whole note, half note, quarter note, dotted quarter, eighth, dotted eighth, sixteenth and dotted sixteenth) at the touch of a button. It's a decent little pedal.
pleas review digitech delay time bende
I'll try get my hands on one asap :) its harder to demo more expensive or rarer gear but I'm a sucker for delays haha!
did anyone tried it with the bass guitar?
I haven't tried it with Bass.. you could email NUX and ask if it would work well with Bass
I haven't tried it with Bass.. you could email NUX and ask if it would work well with Bass
true or false
is a bad pedal? i see comments whit "the pedal stop work at second time to use" is true or falsd
I couldn't really answer that.. I only had the pedal for a few days.. maybe try asking some people on the comments? sorry i cant help more!
I have been using mine every day for over a week and they work just fine so far.Hope this helps.
How about now? :)
Jeff Slarve I've got mine since 2 years, it works well yet! Very good stuff.
dont waste your money...this pedal is junk
Brigadão men
tnx for vid getting 1 today
rk? is it worth the money?
I love the sound and was looking for exactly such a pedal but all the comments about how the unit just stops working after a short time have scared me off. Check ouit the other comments here and at Amazon before you buy. Bummer.
Probably because it doesnt come with a power supply , and will eat a brand new 9v battery in 15 minutes...
Why "ping-pong" NOT stereo?!! 0_o
anybody know how to do dotted 8th
If I remember correctly you just press the "SUBDIV" until the dotted 8th note is selected :)
+Ryan Lutton cool. can you set bpms? there's just not alot of info on this pedal in the manual. by the way i like your vids man.
bAngoSkank100 thanks :) honestly cant remember I only had the pedal a few days.. is there an NUX dealer near you? might be an idea to try play it before buying it :) sorry i cant help more
5:50
Ping Pong delay not sounding in stereo.
is that ping pong delay not working in stereo or you just recorded it in mono?
Nice pedal, had it for a year and died, just died, and I know from other people that happened the same to them. For the price is good but it can die in any moment for no reason.
whuddoya mean can die?
Sorry to hear that! I know that can be a problem with cheaper pedals.. I've yet to have that happen but I don't tend to own pedals for very long haha
is it just me or does the ping pong....not ping or pong?
Zee Ng Apparently this pedal makes a distinction between a mono and a stereo input signal, and if it's mono (like a guitar), even if you're using stereo for the output, it won't ping-pong. Or so it seems.
Hola! eres Proveedor de Nux? me interesa comprar este maravilloso pedal.
