This a dang good video, showing hoe much of a difference a locker makes
rubioo93 thank you
Just bought my tacoma with rear diff locker im so excited and ur video helped me out to understand
LIVING THE RAM LIFE LIVING THE HELLCAT LIFE glad to help
Sounds like you're in 4-wheel high. Should be in 4-low for this obstacle.
Great video thank you
Thanks
That is a nice rig you have sir. I couldnt really tell in the video and am newer to T4Rs but is it lifted? Also what size tires are you running?
I sold it, but it had a 3 inch lift with 33s
Hey bud, did your 4Runner come with the electronic rear locker? I have an 02 and it doesn't have it but I know the earlier 3rd gens had it as an option. I am looking I to getting a rear axle from a 96 or 97 with the e-locker and swapping mine out.
Yes mike came with it factory. The elockers have different gear ratio so you’ll have to swap the front diff or the gear ration in the front to match the e lockers
@@M57sauce I have watched Timmy the tool man video on swapping. Your ride is the same color as mine. I don't see many in our color
Yes it’s a uncommon color combo
So basically if you have no lockers 1 wheel from the front moves and 1 wheel from the rear moves.
But with lockers both wheels on the rear moves and 1 wheel in the front moves?
That is correct when the car has low tire traction or really flexed out
GarageAntics so the only way to really have 4 wheels spinning at the same time is you need front and rear lockers? Still new to 4wd thanks for the help.
Yea pretty much that’s how it’s gonna work. But on flat surfaces it can spin 4 wheels until one wheel loses traction
You can but that won’t change much since the differential locks up both of the wheels
Gotta put some grease on those bushings
is it all stock? the range of motion on the wheels is crazy.
No it has a 3 inch lift and 33’s tires
Who makes your front bumper?
Coastal off-road

I thought it may have been. How do you like it?
Aged10Years yea I really like it, it’s pretty slim compared to others ua-cam.com/video/NtYT5EC76zk/v-deo.html
No sway bars?
Still had the sway bars on
what exhaust is that?
Cut the stock muffler and welded a flow master exhaust.
What year 4runner?
It’s a 1997 limited
Does yours have a center diff lock? If so was it on?
Yes I had the center diff lock on too
@@M57sauce that sucks for me, all I have is the center diff lock, which doesn't seem all that great judging by your video.
Pluto's Forest yea the 4Runner with lockers is a big difference.
@@M57sauce it doesn't seem like too bad of a spot, disappointed a rear locker is even needed. I guess the front wheels couldn't get you out.
Pluto's Forest yea once one of the wheel go in the air or lose traction, it’s pretty much disappointment. You would need to step on it to go thru.
