Radha Kalyana Mahotsavam in TAMBRAS Mudhiyor Illam Salem on 19th March 2023

19th March 2023, a pleasant Sunday morning....after a breezy shower of rain on previous day night....A special day not only for the inmates TAMBRAS Mudhiyor Illam , Chinna Thirupathy , but for the general public thronged to attend the annual Sri Radha Kalyana Mahotsvam performed, in the premises of the Old Age Home, admirably run and administered by a Trust of TAMBRAS Salem..... "Haridasa Ratna" Sri Krishnamoorthy Bhagavathar of Hosur, led the divine event with a host of renowned Bhagavathars of Salem...Thiruppukazh exponent Sri Ramanatha Bhagavathar (Rathnam), Thiruppukazh semmani Sri Ramadass Bhagavathar, Sri Subramani (Mani anna), Sri Bhaskar Bhagavathar ....with Mirudangam accompaniment of Sri Sankaradas Bhagavathar... It is heartening to see a host of young and upcoming Bhagavathers , with abundant potential and knowledge in the Bhajana Sampradaya , in the ensemble of Bhagavathars....raising a lot of trust and hope as to the preservation and continuation of our rich cultural lineage and tradition
The day started with a traditional Unja viruthi Bhajan.....the event lasted for about four hours with non-stop chanting of Bhajans and Namasankeerthanam....culminating in the celestial marriage of Radha with Krishna......Every moment of the divine event tied each one of the divine gathering to their seat.....enthusiastically and soulfully raising vociferous chanting of 'Radhe Krishna:...'Vitala...... Vitala..... Panduranga vittala...." responding to the heartfelt call of the driving force of the event Sri Krishnamoorthy Bhagavathar , raising both of their hands over the head and clapping their hands ....It is amazing to see the energy level of the elders competing with the youth force of the assembly.....the exhibition of fervor from youngest of the young to the oldest of the old is amazing and all pervading........ A sublime occasion for rejuvenation mind, body and spirit , not only for the inmates of the Home but for each and every one of the participants, to get relieved and reprieved from their otherwise daily mundane life of stress and monotony....
