It seems pets are disposable these days like clothes, electronics etc. People just don’t care - it’s not a cost of living crisis. People that do have pets don’t care about spaying/neutering, believing that it’s “unnatural” and animals have a “right” to reproduce as much as they want without the owners taking any responsibility for the offspring…
RSPC don’t respond, Last year we were on the lookout for a rescue dog yet no matter how many times we contacted them nobody got back to us!! Useless 🤬🤬🤬
Thing is. Abandoned animals get treated. Low income people cant get much help on vet bills. The system has created a situation where abandoning a pet is the only way for it to get medical care.
Idiot logic. Our government aren't the ones responsible for abandoning pets and subjecting them to cruelty. People need to take responsibility for their own actions, not blame it all on others.
@wiseget-f7e 'The RSPCA is seeing abandonment figures continue to rise. The first four months of 2023 saw an 11% rise on the same period in 2022 and the highest rate of abandoned animals since 2019. Sadly, the RSPCA also saw incidents of neglect rise by 10% between 2021 and 2022. This trend seems set to continue.' Source: Pet owners RSPCA
Animals deserve so much better than people. Many of us try so hard to look after them, but sadly so many more of us don't

Even the animals are having a housing crisis... what has the UK come too...
Not just the UK tho. Nowadays people abandon their pets like nothing.
Animals are nicer than people
The solution is easy: Stop selling animals!!! they are NOT toys!

I,m absolutely disgusted 🤬 That poor black lovely cat 🐈
The house does become very quiet and it drove me nuts. Now I have 2 girl cats. Love them but that's my limit though I'm often tempted. 😅

"We treat animals as mere means to our ends, as if they were nothing more than luggage or sandwiches, to be used and discarded at our pleasure."
