I turned 21 this year and still remembering the day I first entered the world of martial arts when I was a shool kid. I was in secondary shool and so excited about the release of such a unique and amazing game that offers great environment, sandboxfeeling(well for that time actually), and it's unique combat Kong fu fighting. The first moment when you entered the game, but you have no clue how to start, so you start pressing your keys without any plan what to do. Even if I couldn't speak decent English or better say any English in that time (and I can't speak proper English even now), I fighted myself through the game step by step, but never gave up on anything and never on the language barrier. Seriously I would have played this game even in Chinese lmao :D When I realised how to pass the toturial, finally I got the chance to choose the shool I would like to be in. This feeling as it were your decision of your life and loyality since you couldn't make alts on your account (and yeah I believed that making two accounts could end with a perma bann back then) I chosed Sholar, cuz I believed that sholars are musicians and just generally I found myself fitting to the sholars, because I love to learn and explore, be honest and I also never thought of killing other people :P So I first entered my shool, this feeling was like I first entered Hogwarts (visually), can't describe it, everyone looked so beautiful and the music in the background, but it makes me so sad now that it isn't the same feeling anymore since AOW is dying because of Snailgames. But just in time of Age of Wulin of it's peak was so incredible seeing everyone jumping around and exploring as much as I did :D Sooner I realised that I won't be able to play the flute ingame as I expected the sholars to do, but still I stayed loyal to my shool till the very end of my time in AOW. I would have spend more time into AOW if I had the possibility to afford subscription back then, but as a secondary shool kid I never had the financial materials for it. But I also enjoyed playing this game without being really in the "active VIP community", had a wonderful random guild, did some wars, sneaked on people from the back to annoy them with my swords and running away like a coward afterwards, doing dance training with large groups, just chilling in Chengdu or mastering Lifeskills (playing minigames was so fun!), playing the traditional Guzheng in my Maintown Yanyuvilla on a bridge, this is what made me excited so much that I can't forget this time until now. SO I am writing all this corny stuff while I am listening to the old OST's, because I really miss that time. When people say that Mmorpg's have certain points where you make unforgettable experiences, I can tell you without hesitation that those all I told you were the biggest desires of playing an MMORPG. Unfortunately no other MMorpg ever topped this. When Age of wushu will get the remake version or Age of wushu 2 will be released, I will give it a try instantly, but now I feel that any hopes are lost since Age of wushu is so buggy to play as an european player. And also I don't have so much time for it now, well I wish I could :(
soooooooooooooooooooooo fucking nostalgic oh my goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood i miss just wandering the big cities of aow, the only mmo that did cities right. ;c
