I like Paul better on this number but give Bruce ALL the credit for doing it his OWN way & style . Do take note Bruce is able to handle anything in Dianno's limited range, while Paul has been reduced to a pathetic, jealous, baby, bringing shame to his INCREDIBLE work, otherwise known as the band's first two albums.....
Paul hasn't aged well, but back in the day his range was every bit as good as Bruce's. If it wasn't for his personality and, I suspect his work ethic, he could've filled Bruce's vocal shoes without breaking a sweat
limited range ? Battlezone limited range, ? Killers limited range ? Paul can do melodic hard rock with blues vibe, Judas Priestesque style to Hardcore growling. Bruce can do thoses contrast ? I don't think so.
Cos I'm a wrathchild Well I'm a wrathchild Yeh I'm a wrathchild Oh I'm coming to get ya Oh yeah-eh-yeah Some say it shouldn't matter ain't nothing gonna alter the course of my destination But I know I've gotta find some serious peace of mind or I know I'll just go crazy
Just imagine , this man walked into the audition , how epic must it have been to see this man absolutely nail it with a voice so unique you just knew he was gonna be legendary
I was born into a scene of angriness and greed, and dominance and persecution. My mother was a queen, my dad I've never seen, I was never meant to be. And now I spend my time looking all around, For a man that's nowhere to be found. Until I find him I'm never gonna stop searching, I'm gonna find my man, gonna travel around. [Chorus] 'Cos I'm a wrathchild, well I'm a wrathchild. Yeah I'm a wrathchild. I'm coming to get you, oooh yeah. Say it doesn't matter ain't nothin' gonna alter the course of my destination. I know I've got to find some serious piece of mind, or I know I'll just go crazy. But now I spend my time looking all around, For a man thats nowhere to be found. Until I find him I'm never gonna stop searching, I'm gonna find my man, gonna travel around. [Chorus]
I may be wrong, but I think this was one of the recordings made during Bruce Dickinson's first audition for Maiden back in 81/82. There is a version of the audition tape on UA-cam in lower quality that it is identical to this.
Yeah Mr. Gers is a very sloppy player but without him, I don't think Maiden would still be around. That's just my opinion though, I can't tell you what to think. =)
Dude, I couldn't agree with you more! Iron Maiden (self titled), Iron Maiden Killers are totally Paul’s & are rightfully befitting of his signature style/tone. Then all of a sudden there comes this dude Bruce totally kickin’ ass with the band after that. To say Bruce is better on this tune would be like saying Brian Johnson is better on Bon Scott’s recording, ummm, not! Paul & Bruce are the Yin Yang of Maiden and Bon and Brian are the Yin Yang of AC/DC. This version does still sound good though.
It says in the description. If you buy the american version of the Ed Hunter game, it's on the bonus C.D. It only comes on the American version though...
Definitely Paul was meant for "Iron Maiden" and "Killers" These albums are his legacy. Don't get me wrong, I love Bruce's voice, but he gave Iron Maiden another style and they're both awesome!
My personal opinion is that Dickinson is the best maiden vocalist. EVER! But other people may disagree wich is cool. But i think the song pits DiAnno a lil better. But Bruce does bring some elements into the song that it needs. UP THE IRONS!!!!!!!!!
I generally prefer Di'Anno's versions of the debut/Killers era songs, but this song is an exception. Dickinson's version has more power and is crisper; it's shouty-song and he shouts it brilliantly and melodically, if that's possible.
@CouchPotatato Theres several lol. Live After Death has one, Beast Over Hammersmith, which is the best in my opinion. The Ullevi one, and a couple on You Tube from the third leg of the somewhere back in time tour.
I think Paul's voice is better for that "I'm gonna hurt you" snarl vibe that was meant for this song. Of course, for albums like Number of The Beast and Powerslave and the like, Bruce is unbeatable. But this is where Paul belongs.
Yeah, no. Normally I like it when Bruce sings Paul songs, but I have to admit, Paul does this better. I do like it when Bruce sings Iron Maiden and Killers, though.
i like it iwth paul better it just fits his voice but bruse is the best over all singer but for the first 2 albums its paul but everything els its bruse all the way
I was born into a scene of angriness and greed of dominance and persecution My mother was a queen my dad I've never seen I was never meant to be Now I spend my time looking all around For a man that's nowhere to be found until I find him I'm never gonna stop searching I'm gonna find my man gonna travel around
Each to their respective albums was right for them. Number of the beast musically sounds like the first two. Then the sound developed fully around Bruce by Piece of Mind.
i dont like paul dianno. and that isn't because i like bruce more. i just dont like paul dianno. i think bruce did a much better job. but i do admit i like running free
Man, much as I love Bruce, this will always be one of the best songs Di'Anno did with Maiden.
Hey, I can argue with that. SPOT ON.
Paul hasn't aged well. Those albums with him singing are great though

Bruce Dickinson, slaying us with his voice as usual! This version is amazing, his talent really shows in this song!
that bassline,
so slick
Iron Maiden has found its voice and it's Bruce
this is awesume, and that's Clive playing drums as well, they just took out Paul and added Bruce.
And remixed it.... Turned the guitars up in the mix.
I like both versions. I would like to hear what it would sound like with both Bruce and Paul singing at the same time.
That would be awesome 😍
Bruce performed Wrathchild live in Vancouver Canada just the other week, was some pretty sick shit.
They also did "Running free" surprisingly.
Cos I'm a wrathchild
Well I'm a wrathchild
Yeh I'm a wrathchild
Oh I'm coming to get ya
Oh yeah-eh-yeah
Some say it shouldn't matter
ain't nothing gonna alter
the course of my destination
But I know I've gotta find
some serious peace of mind
or I know I'll just go crazy
Bloody Awesome - Dickinson really makes this one his own, doesn't he???
wonder if by any sheer miracle DIO ever covered this song?
Awesome !!!
Thanks for upload...
Just imagine , this man walked into the audition , how epic must it have been to see this man absolutely nail it with a voice so unique you just knew he was gonna be legendary
im just now learning how to play bass. and this is the first song im trying to learn :P
I was born into a scene of angriness and greed, and dominance and persecution.

And now I spend my time looking all around,
For a man that's nowhere to be found.

Nice find man, very good song!

awesome pure awesome any maiden fan would say. Dickinson has a voice of a god. MAIDEN RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!
With either Paul or Bruce this track will always be a killer. 👌
Wow... this is amazing
Bruce man you are simply the best!!!
If you buy the Somewhere Back In Time Best of 1980-1989 album Bruce does a version, and it's AWESOME!
Awesome performance. 100 grade.
Bruce brings the aggression this song needs :P it fits perfectly + his scream is fuckin sick!
I enjoy both versionsWhat would be great is if Maiden would rerecord the two Blaze albums with Bruce's vocals. The air siren lives!
Bruce kicks ass, period!!
KILLER SOUND! NICE JOB BRUCE, HOLY SHIT MAN!
man your tags are awsome
Bruce kicked this song from good to fucking insanely awesomely unreal!!!!!
Yeah Mr. Gers is a very sloppy player but without him, I don't think Maiden would still be around. That's just my opinion though, I can't tell you what to think. =)
I think im a
WRATCHILD

Good Stuff
This is Rare grew up listening to my older brother listening to the Paul Dianno version.
Definitely Paul was meant for "Iron Maiden" and "Killers" These albums are his legacy. Don't get me wrong, I love Bruce's voice, but he gave Iron Maiden another style and they're both awesome!
True.
I prefer Di Anno's version, but the Dickinson's scream (1:35) between the solos is as awesome as it can get!!
Bruce... simple the BEST vocal,s!!!!!!!!
Both versions are great
Of course it is !!
My personal opinion is that Dickinson is the best maiden vocalist. EVER! But other people may disagree wich is cool. But i think the song pits DiAnno a lil better. But Bruce does bring some elements into the song that it needs. UP THE IRONS!!!!!!!!!
Best version! Really raw and aggressive and not punkish as Diano's version.
yet this should be the original
Nah, Paul's version is better.. Far more grittier.. not that this version is bad, both are great really.
I generally prefer Di'Anno's versions of the debut/Killers era songs, but this song is an exception. Dickinson's version has more power and is crisper; it's shouty-song and he shouts it brilliantly and melodically, if that's possible.
WOW! That's awesome! They should record more songs from the first 2 albums with Bruce ;)
Bruce version of this song is very very good
But I still like Paul's version better, but well, the original version of a song will always be the best
Im listening to it now, it sounds awesome! At about 2:02 the voices unsync though
it's the best version i have heard ever!!!!
Brutal
It sounds good cos the instruments are more vibrant but hands down Paul’s version is better 🧟♂️
It's fookin RAW
both good,Maiden kicks ass!
Bruce fucking rocks at this one!!
@CouchPotatato
Theres several lol. Live After Death has one, Beast Over Hammersmith, which is the best in my opinion. The Ullevi one, and a couple on You Tube from the third leg of the somewhere back in time tour.

Great:)
Crazy talk!
it does ur right
Going to See Maiden Saturday!
UP THE IRONS!
Where did you find this? I need this song.
Isn't this the version that Bruce sung for his Maiden audition before he became lead singer?
this is also on maiden's greatest hits
wow!
1:34
ever heard the air-raid siren?
Nice try....but that's all it is to me. Don't get me wrong, I love Maiden with Bruce too, but this is Paul's song.
@CouchPotatato a saw him singing phantom of the opera live, and he did way better then dianno
I Prefer this song With Paul, BUT DAMN IS THIS FUCKING SICK WITH BRUCE!
UP THE IRONS!
not bad xD
it sounds so fucking awesome when Bruce sings this! :DDD
HOLY SHIT THIS IS BRUCES VERSION IS SO MUCH MORE BADASSS
This is my favorite! Ask ? later!
@CouchPotatato I dont think it does, but there is a fantastic version of the from their 2005 live at Uvelli DVD :)
bruce rules
killer version........
however is this good, I still think live is live... and much more better... xD *remember Donington '92*
ah i would man, but i dont have it anymore. its an awesome game though, dead cheesy!
Bruce version it's better than Di'anno's... They need to do this with all maiden songs that Bruce didn't sing...
wow this cover is AMAZING!!!! but still not as good as the original. iron maiden sounded more punky with paul.
so much better!
Yeah, no. Normally I like it when Bruce sings Paul songs, but I have to admit, Paul does this better. I do like it when Bruce sings Iron Maiden and Killers, though.
this version is fucking good, but I think paul's version better... more agressive. ;P
@riseagainstmeatloaf
agree
i like it iwth paul better it just fits his voice but bruse is the best over all singer but for the first 2 albums its paul but everything els its bruse all the way
ROXXX
this song was definitely made for paul... way too simple for bruce's vocals. bruce still sounds great tho..as always
good song the best of dickinson
Kind of a wierd scream that Bruce does, but other than that he fits the song well.
I was born into a scene
of angriness and greed
of dominance and persecution
My mother was a queen
my dad I've never seen
I was never meant to be
Now I spend my time
looking all around
For a man that's nowhere
to be found
until I find him
I'm never gonna stop searching
I'm gonna find my man
gonna travel around
I normally prefer Iron Maiden with Bruce but I have to admit that the original version is much better. don't know why, it just doesn't feel the same.
I think Bruce is Iron Maidens best singer, though, Di'anno wrote this song and also suites it better. Good try though, Bruce;P
UP THE IRONS.
It is MUCH better with Bruce.
Paul and Bruce both great singers and frontman but Bruce is better!!
Each to their respective albums was right for them. Number of the beast musically sounds like the first two. Then the sound developed fully around Bruce by Piece of Mind.
Bruce somehow made me enjoy this song even more. His version is better in my opinion.
I totally agree!
No it's not, but its good. He at least put heart into it. Something he stopped doing to DiAnno era songs later.
Somebody got offended by not using caps. Come on dude, we are on the internet, and we are not speaking spanish.
RARE!!!! not anymore....
Bruce is way better at Paul than, lets face it, anything the band sang on the Iron Maiden, and Killers albums
0:00
Not much luck there....Dio rarely ever did any covers ever. He did not like to do them very often.
U never can find him I bet you 😂😂😂
but janick fucks up the solo that originally was played by adrian
i dont like paul dianno. and that isn't because i like bruce more. i just dont like paul dianno. i think bruce did a much better job. but i do admit i like running free
