I tried kali and arachane and serqet build up that you have shown and It really helped me accomplished in conquest, for kali I started building order, first she was weak and then she was powerful
Your 3 on Baka already gives you passive physical power so I go for ninja tabi. Also having more attack speed early on makes the most of your true damage
Cody65 Baka gets attack speed later on from fatalis, exe, winged, qins that makes his Attack speed above 2.0 so more power is. Better then that more attack speed.. And without fatalis you cannot hit all your true damage
***** Yes, but there is no objective "best" in this case. It highly depends on how many stacks your passive has in the moment of fighting and how long the fight lasts, so it can literally differ from fight to fight.
That loki build is insanity. Just played it in a 3 v 2 and dominated despite being a player down. Ended 12 and 6 with almost 20k player damage. Very nice. I just wish there was a ncie alternative for The crusher. I'm a joust scrub, and its banned in there :P
When I play Assassins I go for boxing potential. Power and prots. I almost always get urchins 3rd item after hydras usually (after Ichaival on Nem). However, you and I play differently Duke so I can see you rationale on your builds. Keep the informative content coming!
Nico M. I do something similar with my builds. On ability based assassins I usually go warriors, jotunn's, urchin, titan's, brawlers, and then finally mantle of discord. Gives you efficient damage and a good amount of protections.
Dukesloth I know ao is technically a mage but I personally thing you should have included him in this video. Nonetheless still great work! Keep them coming! :P
I know it's not a pro build lol but full damage pen crit Thanatos is surprisingly powerful all you need is a slight lead early just gank duo 😂 The build I use: warrior tabi, johtuns, blood forge, Titans, death bringer, malice you crit for 700-1000 a hit
I have an idea for new video ( not a serious video a bit of fun) "who has the best side kick" eg skadi, awilix, erlang shen, baset etc. you can talk about how helpful they are to you and team fights, how much damage they etc. just a cool idea i thought you could do:)
tbh, I feel like void shield is still pretty solid, and that if you want to go be an initiator (hun batz, thor, fenrir and so on) it still can be a really solid choise
Could you please put charts at the end of your videos like you did with the original hunter build video? It's extremely helpful to see all the information in one place and being able to compare.
Thana is my main and my build is very often: bumba's, Warrior tabi, Jotunn's, Bloodforge, Heartseeker, Shield of regrowth and replacing Bumba's mask with Shifter's shield. What do you think?
SO recently ive been building stone cutting on thana in this build (bumba, warriors, hydras, joutons(or defense), titans, stonecutting, and then sell bumbas for deathbringer or another defence item). Also not sure if you thought of this but thana is slow immune in his 2 so winged blade on him isnt necessarilty a good pickup like you suggested. I also just like the deathbringer along with stonecutting and his 2 bc you can crit for like 1.8k dmg if you aa reset correctly so it avoids his late game fall off pretty well and its sometimes useful bc you get a sudden dmg burst that can save you
Idk if you'll reply, but how do you feel about using both Hydra's and Jotun's for 2nd and 3rd item (order doesn't matter much in this case)? On Fenrir, for instance, I like Bumba's>Warrior Tabi>Jotun's Wrath>Hydra's because I feel like he needs the early penetration (something you said as well), and then Hydra's because of the basics you can get in between abilities make a huge difference. On Thor (my best god) I go the same start as Fenrir, and then depending on the enemy team I either start building defense like Hide of the Urchin (Breastplate before the Hydra rework), then get some more penetration with Brawler's, then Mantle of Discord, and then later in the match I decide if I need Titan's Bane (which is usually yes because everyone usually builds a bit of defense) I replace either Hydra's or Beatstick depending on what I think I need. I also might use Bulwark of Hope for its stats and the passive if I need to be a secondary tank (like a mage solo). I know you said builds are flexible, but I was wondering what you think. It does well for me, but I'm also not in Grandmasters.
For Bakasura, I find that while the attack speed itself is quite potent, I feel late game he struggles when it comes to soloing certain characters thanks to a lack of real power. As an assassin, your main job is kills (for the most part) and I feel the power that comes from Bloodforge and the shield upon kill is very much a benefit to him. If you don't mind me asking, in the build described, what item is really optional and could be replaced with Bloodforge?
Quick question.... how is building Shifters Shield on Sun Wukong? Ive always felt it goes great with his passive but i dont see alot of talk about the item...
11:50 I don't know, prock-ing Hydra's on Mercury feels really awkward. I'm more partial to the speed build, replace Hydra's with Winged Blade and Malice with Stone Cutting. It's cheaper, gives you some power from his passive, defense, att speed for tower push, some penetration as well but, you lose 36 power overall.
Zefo No I'm also more into attack speed. I usually go Jotun's, Asi, Winged Blade, Titan's Bane, Death bringer, then something defensive (usually Discord)
DukeSloth Situational even on Mercury? I get it purely for the stats, the passive and ccr are nice situational bonuses, sure. 300 hp is usually all the def you need, and Merc benefits from both att speed and movement. I'd used to get Ritual Dagger in it's place but since they took away 10% att speed, it's not justifiable anymore.
A great build for murcury is brown boots, ichival, blood fordge, malice, wind demon and death bringer, squishy but with blood shield it is very hard to beat
Hey, Duke. You've probably already done a video on it and I might've overlooked it, but what's your opinion on building Trancendence in Conquest for junglers and solo laners and for other game modes. Ability based Gods like Hun Batz and Sun Wukong). Obviously Sun Wukong doesn't have very high scaling and you want Solo laners to have more defense, but a God like Hun Batz does and the high power Transcendence gives helps Hydras passive (although they're kinda used in place of one another, not used together.)
ESDF last I checked. So your pinky always sits on A, thumb on space for "Oh Shit" ults and W/R are just above your E/F fingers. It's pretty economical and efficient.
Hey duke I have a question idk if y'all see this but if you do or anyone feel free to answer do you think rataskor is still a decent assassin/jungle/whatever after all his nerfs because I don't see him being playable all that often, Ravana has had major nerfs but at least he's still good
Ne Zha Sheild of regrowth over robe bloodforge over maluice because malice does not do much for his ult due to it only procing once titans can be a variable
you get hydra's on arachne. you use your 2 too stun and then you use your 1 then the aa chain in at 1 you smack then for a lot with the 1 damage and the hydra's damage.
Whenever I use Nemesis I build Hastened Fatalis to stick on a target. Is this considered a useful item for her or am I doing something wrong, because it works well, especially when she gets late-game crit.
Dominic La Puma I think sticking on a target is not a problem for nemesis with her slows and her dashes so I wouldn't recomend it to you, instead build something that increses your dmg bcause by building fatalis u are losing lots of dmg
PseudoPlusDispo it might seem a bit complicated at the beginning but eventually you'll figure out hoe things goes for example lets say ur in solo lane as a bellona vs a lets say kali, u need to think what does a kali do & shines at? Its physical basic attack , attack speed and as an assassin she does physical damage what do u get to counter that? Answer is physical def specifically witch blade since it gives attack speed reduction aura to enemies while giving u physical def. another example if u were against a healer like aphro then u should get a pestilence to give u magic def & counter heal aphro. Lets say ur having problems with slows (aka bastet, nem) get wingedblade. Afraid of cc? Get items with CCR (cc reduction) or a magi blessing. there u go and good luck hopefully that was helpful:)
The problem is that it's almost impossible to cover all the scenarios. For example, Bulwark may be a good choice against an enemy Poseidon because of the burst, but when the enemy Jing Wei is fed, you all of a sudden need other items. Counterbuilding is such a large field that I would say the best way to learn it is go out and play.
Am I the only one who finds Mail of renewal to be really useful on arachne? the heal from her 1 plus the extra heal from mail every time a kill or objective happens makes her almost unkillable when played correctly and if CC is avoided
I assure you, as someone who regularly carries with Fenrir, you should use your Autos to heal and finish the job. Use it any other way and you're already at a disadvantage. But for Baka, much like Mercury I recommend crit, not Qin. More power, faster killing.
The King you don't build crits on baka, you just don't, the main form of damage is the true damage on his 3, that doesn't double with crits; getting attack speed is the best option
Yes but crits are 2 autos in one, so the damage against squishes will always be higher. So you have enough power to deal maybe 325 damage with the True Damage included. If you crit, you can spike for maybe 600+ damage (the buff included). So yeah. You build your Baka build, but if you're like me and only have 5 seconds to kill anyone then you would build crit as well.
baka is different from fenrir, fenrir is abilty based, ability are his main form of damage, baka is aa based, you have tu use your autos to kill because without autos you can damage only with your 1; and you have to consider the true damage on baka's auto with the 3, so quins and more attack speed is better than crits, and this is isn't my opinion: i think every baka main thinks that about crits on baka
and trust me, in late game you will shred throught everyone's hps in the blink of an eye with quins, your 3 and full attack speed; with crits you can't kill tanks with baka
No assassin is meant to kill tanks, and Qins will always take longer to kill someone than Crits. Even worse is that Qin doesn't even let you heal off its damage, so crits lets you stay fighting for longer. Plus I was not comparing Fenrir to Baka there because there is no competition, Fenrir is better than Bakasura until you need structured push or AOE damage. That's all baka has over Fenrir if you want me to tell you what you thought you heard. Baka kills towers and multiple people at once faster than Fenrir. That's it.
is there anny problem on combining jotuns and hydras on thor? cuz i do that and usualy works prety well since i build it 4 the same reason u do brawlers
Mr.MjLc mantle is 2 expensive i only buy it late or if i build shifter 1st and im putting jotuns on the stone cutting sword s place cuz the stacks dont last
DukeSloth after i comented i reworke my build and saw that if im able to get mantle of discord 5%cdr is not much, but when there is no healer in the nme i swap brawlers for crusher is that a problem? ah and since u work on hi-rez can u tell why their servers are so bad rly now the have an wc no excuse for banking a pro contest instead of working on their infrastructure
Why is it that most build I see for assassins, they never have any lifesteal. I feel like I can't play as an assassin without lifesteal. Is it just me?
i have 1.5k kills on merc and dont really agree with ur build. Imo u really need lifesteel instead of triple crit and winged blade in a way saver option than hydras. But i will definetly try out ur build an come back and correct myself it is better.
in my opinion the stone cutting isn't that good on baka, and you need the attack speed boots, and it's more effective the death's toll than the bumba's, the reason for the first point is that you should built an attack speed valor as close as possible to 2.5 (counting the passive) in order to make the best use of qin's and of the true damage on his 3; the reason for the second point it's not logical i just think he performs better with death's toll, it's just a feeling but as a main baka i trust my feelings very much about him
deaths toll on a jungler, k, your an idiot. unless if your talking about solo laning than okay, but you should say that. stone cutting is good on baka.
i'm talking about jungler, the death's toll gives him much more sustain when you build it attack speed since you receive heals by eating the camp and you don't need extra gold from camps since at a certain point you will have control of all camps (yours and enemy's ones) if you play properly, trust me, i tried both the starters and if you play baka properly the death's toll is better
Stone Cutting Sword is very good for its price now, would rarely skip it, you want some power in your build, prot reduction is good, movement speed is good, some extra defense is very helpful. Choice between Power boots and AS boots is a matter of taste. Bumba's on Junglers? Just no.
At that point in the game the flat pen is more powerful than the % penetration. Hunters and Mages will have about 30 physical defense by their own, so with 20 flat pen you almost do them true damage. EDIT: If the enemy team is composed by more tankier gods (hades, cabroken, etc) you may want to pick Titan's before Brawler's. Flat pen is still very powerful against tanks, but only if you have % penetration!!
Fenn explained it very well. Flat pen helps more against squishies early on, so you wanna get it early. However, not only if the enemy team has a lot of tanks, but also if the mages pick up Dynasty Plate Helm and stuff like that, Titan's Bane becomes more valuable. That decision should mostly be made from game to game.
David F thing is, crit is very efficient on Merc. His 1 can crit, his dash allows you to hit a couple of basics ( you want the, to do as much damage as possible) and his passive allows for 1000+ cries EZ.
Because his 1 can crit, and a merc with crit is one of the biggest hypercarries in the game lategame, if not the biggest. He can 2 shot just about anyone
I get that and I do switch out winged for crit aliyt but I feel as though early game he's alot better off the way I build then go I to crit if you feel like you aren't killing squishies fast enough.
Eww here, take my Arachne build. (good for all modes) Ninja boots, heartseeker, bloodforge, executioner, wind demon, (Last item depends on what's needed, I mainly swap frostbound or Odysseus bow. Do NOT build more crit. Try titan's bane.) Go to jungle and try it out, have fun.
my buddy has 10k kills on thana. he usually goes boots johtuns masamune bloodforge and mantle. last item is situational but its usually titans. for some reason it works well for him. i might try convincing him to give stone cutting a chance because he likes the movement speed. btw were in plat and have about a 75% win rate with it so its not pub stomping. check arottenmuffin on smite guru.
CorrosivePython Masamune is not bad at all but it's more a situational item that works prety well when the enemy team is builing health bcause of it's passive, although if they are not building as much health and they r building defense instead u should go stone cutting sword cause of it's defense steal
So, from what i've learned from this is that assassin builds are fucking weird compared to what I should be building. But hey, my builds work for me so if it ain't broke, don't fix it, I suppose.
Against which target? You typically won't have room for 3 AAs after abilities on Fen and the damage it takes away from brutalize is pretty rough. It's not trash on him though, just wouldn't recommend it over Jotunn's.

HardenedHellHunter you can't change the definition so it fits a person with views you don't agree with....
Jesus Christ, I was just making a joke.
Your 3 on Baka already gives you passive physical power so I go for ninja tabi. Also having more attack speed early on makes the most of your true damage

Guys, both is fine depending on playstyle, not even worth the discussion :)
***** Yes, but there is no objective "best" in this case. It highly depends on how many stacks your passive has in the moment of fighting and how long the fight lasts, so it can literally differ from fight to fight.
this helps alot I'm used to playing gardians never really tried assassin this gives me a place to start.
i`m going as far as to say you`re the best smite channel available.
thanks for the videos
That loki build is insanity. Just played it in a 3 v 2 and dominated despite being a player down. Ended 12 and 6 with almost 20k player damage. Very nice. I just wish there was a ncie alternative for The crusher. I'm a joust scrub, and its banned in there :P
Closest thing would probably be Stone Cutting Sword in that case!
didn't usually build hydras on assasins other than loki but after you seeing it built on so many i need to try this item out
its stronger than jotunns atm
When I play Assassins I go for boxing potential. Power and prots. I almost always get urchins 3rd item after hydras usually (after Ichaival on Nem). However, you and I play differently Duke so I can see you rationale on your builds. Keep the informative content coming!

Skadi any day.
obviously its arachne's broodlings
Imo Winged Blade is core on Ne Zha and Arachne, gives you the extra chase as well as preventing you from getting locked down by slows so easily.
tbh, I feel like void shield is still pretty solid, and that if you want to go be an initiator (hun batz, thor, fenrir and so on) it still can be a really solid choise

Young Jesus Neith does a great use of it

No assassin is meant to kill tanks, and Qins will always take longer to kill someone than Crits.
Even worse is that Qin doesn't even let you heal off its damage, so crits lets you stay fighting for longer.
Plus I was not comparing Fenrir to Baka there because there is no competition, Fenrir is better than Bakasura until you need structured push or AOE damage.
That's all baka has over Fenrir if you want me to tell you what you thought you heard. Baka kills towers and multiple people at once faster than Fenrir. That's it.
R.I.P hastened fatalis we need a new jungle guide
what is a good attack speed loki build?
is there anny problem on combining jotuns and hydras on thor? cuz i do that and usualy works prety well since i build it 4 the same reason u do brawlers
Vinicius Pamplona Does it work?
Then no!
Vinicius Pamplona if you're building mantle there's kinda not point
Mr.MjLc mantle is 2 expensive i only buy it late or if i build shifter 1st
and im putting jotuns on the stone cutting sword s place cuz the stacks dont last
You can definitely do it. The downside is that most good defense items have CDR as well and you may end up wasting stats.
DukeSloth after i comented i reworke my build and saw that if im able to get mantle of discord 5%cdr is not much, but when there is no healer in the nme i swap brawlers for crusher is that a problem? ah and since u work on hi-rez can u tell why their servers are so bad rly now the have an wc no excuse for banking a pro contest instead of working on their infrastructure
could you make new videos on builds since season 4?
Why is it that most build I see for assassins, they never have any lifesteal. I feel like I can't play as an assassin without lifesteal. Is it just me?
- Why should you not combo Heartseeker and Hydras Lamment
- Why is Transcendence bad for a Solo Loki ? He needs the mana for his clear
Why is Voidshield gone on so many builds?
They need to add new damage items, cause a lot of these builds were similar
Are these builds still good?
i have 1.5k kills on merc and dont really agree with ur build. Imo u really need lifesteel instead of triple crit and winged blade in a way saver option than hydras. But i will definetly try out ur build an come back and correct myself it is better.
void shield no more worth it?
I really think nemesis really needs executioner and quins
why is there no lifesteal in the builds?
Can you switch spirit robe for a discord?
In my opinion Awilix should definitely be build ability based
in my opinion the stone cutting isn't that good on baka, and you need the attack speed boots, and it's more effective the death's toll than the bumba's,
the reason for the first point is that you should built an attack speed valor as close as possible to 2.5 (counting the passive) in order to make the best use of qin's and of the true damage on his 3; the reason for the second point it's not logical i just think he performs better with death's toll, it's just a feeling but as a main baka i trust my feelings very much about him
Cowision TV you get bumbas to get more gold and heals from the camps. i see why deaths toll could be affective tho
deaths toll on a jungler, k, your an idiot. unless if your talking about solo laning than okay, but you should say that. stone cutting is good on baka.
i'm talking about jungler, the death's toll gives him much more sustain when you build it attack speed since you receive heals by eating the camp and you don't need extra gold from camps since at a certain point you will have control of all camps (yours and enemy's ones) if you play properly, trust me, i tried both the starters and if you play baka properly the death's toll is better
Stone Cutting Sword is very good for its price now, would rarely skip it, you want some power in your build, prot reduction is good, movement speed is good, some extra defense is very helpful.
Choice between Power boots and AS boots is a matter of taste.
Bumba's on Junglers? Just no.
Why Brawler's Beatstick on Thor as a third item before Titan's Bane?
Rampage Raptor max cdr
At that point in the game the flat pen is more powerful than the % penetration. Hunters and Mages will have about 30 physical defense by their own, so with 20 flat pen you almost do them true damage.
EDIT:
If the enemy team is composed by more tankier gods (hades, cabroken, etc) you may want to pick Titan's before Brawler's.
That decision should mostly be made from game to game.
when u realize the word "assassin" is just 2 asses in front of an "in"
Is this current for consoles?
People still build trans because they use Loki as a a carry. It's not wrong but it's a different purpose than a team oriented Jungler.
why was it private the first time glad its out now 😆
Why was void shield used in just one build?
because it got expensive so not many people should build it conistantly anymore, it has become more situational
+davidarnaiz saliste en un video de duke xD (sos el hun batz)
Whats that mask thing
Why no asi on kali?
Someone is feeling that hydrant lol
tried the kali build and it was horrible, it took forever to take down most enemies unless it was another assassin with no defense.
You really like hydras lol
no, its just meta
Gabriel Linares its pretty good
How do I attack cancel with nemesis
As with every other god. ua-cam.com/video/KCnFXK9BhLI/v-deo.html
DukeSloth is a Sloth and can't get his description right
I don't build crit with merc?? and I do very good. build> Bumbas, boots, Winged blade, hydras lament, Jotuns, Titan's.
Last item switched with Bumbas is actually usually wind demon or hastened fatalis
Sai Qin on Awilix?
what about ao kuang?
Eww here, take my Arachne build. (good for all modes)
Ninja boots, heartseeker, bloodforge, executioner, wind demon, (Last item depends on what's needed, I mainly swap frostbound or Odysseus bow. Do NOT build more crit. Try titan's bane.) Go to jungle and try it out, have fun.
Junglers are always the hardest to build for me.
does executioner work on towers
Michael Santos no
DukeSloth is a banana and can't get his description right
That is my exact Baka build lol (: I get ninja tabi
my buddy has 10k kills on thana. he usually goes boots johtuns masamune bloodforge and mantle. last item is situational but its usually titans. for some reason it works well for him. i might try convincing him to give stone cutting a chance because he likes the movement speed. btw were in plat and have about a 75% win rate with it so its not pub stomping. check arottenmuffin on smite guru.
CorrosivePython Masamune is not bad at all but it's more a situational item that works prety well when the enemy team is builing health bcause of it's passive, although if they are not building as much health and they r building defense instead u should go stone cutting sword cause of it's defense steal
that is a good point thank you.
no problem ;)
This is old, most of the starter items have changed a lot now
did he just say not to use hydras on serqet? im shook
I like to get masamuni after boots
DukeSloth is a sweetroll and can't get his description right.
So, from what i've learned from this is that assassin builds are fucking weird compared to what I should be building. But hey, my builds work for me so if it ain't broke, don't fix it, I suppose.
why crusher banned in joust?
Please Send Help Cause it would be so easy
No one complaining about rat with warrior tabi at least
That geb at 8:25 is so stupid. Left the tower so you got hit, and then shielded himself and ran.
i did the calculations and hydras beats jotunns in damage with the full combo on fenrir
Against which target? You typically won't have room for 3 AAs after abilities on Fen and the damage it takes away from brutalize is pretty rough. It's not trash on him though, just wouldn't recommend it over Jotunn's.
DukeSloth i guess jotunns is better for most people, but not if your me
