🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

In this video, Jim really reminds me of an audiologist I once had when I was being diagnosed with auditory processing disorder. Same sort of humour, and a wonderfully reassuring vibe - he made my diagnosis much less daunting. This video reminded me of some good memories

I have mild tinnitus in my left ear. Interestingly enough, it almost vanishes when I watch an ASMR video like this one. I live in the USA and over about 25 years of my life, I chose to get around on a bicycle. I always rode by the rules of the road and since I rode on the right side of the road, my left ear got the brunt of the traffic noise. Thank you, Jim.

Huh. I've always heard of tinnitus with things like black smithing or being near artillery but never knew it could happen by simply riding your bike and hearing traffic

Quite apart from anything else, this guy's bedside manner is terrific! I like how different he is from the eye doctor character, who comes off rather stuffy and self-serious , but still compelling.

Ok so I had to listen to this twice since I fell asleep the first run (curse that soft, gentle voice of yours ❤). Ear cleaning videos are always touch and go for me because I never know if oil is going to be used. I drowned when I was twelve (I got better) and even to this day getting liquid of any form in my ears tends to send me into a panic, so the sounds associated with it does the same. I truly enjoyed this video (remember, I fell asleep lol). Here's hoping that you and yours are doing well and please, keep up with the silliness. Light, Love and Happiness 🤗🤗🤗

😒 Fell yesterday and sprained my ankel. "Wasted" an afternoon at hospital. Spent today, achy and tired, hobbling around the house in a thing that feels like a huge ski boot. да, тоже заметила. Приколист. Пхахаха. Хотя и не ожидаешь такое услышать, да, я знаю, что он немного знает русский, но я обычно его на английском слушаю, потому что не особо люблю акцент в АСМР и просто другие лучше, там голос у него более успокаивающий, как тут. А вот где русского гангстера и какого-то шпиона русского изображал, то там не такой нежный голос, хоть и всё равно прикольно.
хотя я бы назвала браво русским, но это вообще не русское слово изначально, его и англичане используют, потому так.

Apology to ear-cleaning lovers, I never got the appeal. But then I found this amazing artist, Jim , and now I'm a fan.
Doctor, is it okay to clean ears with hydrogen peroxide? I love the chills I get from the bubbles. It's a very similar feeling to the tingles I get from these ear cleaning videos.
