why is everybody saying he is ripping it off...he does his own version of an older trick! and probably introducing this funny trick to ppl that are not 50 +years old! bands do covers of older songs all the time...why is that a cover and this is a rip off.... calm down!

Actually, this is based off an old vaudeville routine. Tom Ogden recorded a version of it with Max Maven doing the voice over as "Mr. Wizards World" or something like that. Since Tom was so popular with the routine, Copperfield asked Tom for his consent to do it on TV (not that he needed it, but it was out of respect. For this Tom has been often given credit as modernizing the routine). This routine is nothing like what Copperfield performed. It was quite entertaining, but the routine is sold, just as you saw, in better magic shops around the US.

DIESEN Schweden hier kann ich immer auf der Bühne ertragen! THIS Swede here I can always stand on stage! CE Suédois-là je peux toujours le supporter sur scène! 🤣👍

Pretty fucking hysterical. I love how he butchers the pronounciation of his own name. "Carm Eimner Heckner"...

Of course this is an old routine. It's a beginner's trick. But good magicians put their own little spin on it. We aren't supposed to be amazed by his ability to sleight of hand away a bandana. We are buying the comedy of the routine.

And he got it from someone else and that guy got it from someone else. It's old vaudeville... ever heard of the aristocrats joke? This is sort of the same thing. It's all about the performance. And i got to hand it to Häckner he does it better then Copperfield
