- In this video I do a deep dive on how I paint lining onto my customs. I figured that my troublesome trucks would be a good way to show this process. Hope you enjoy.
If there are particular custom models or painting techniques that you'd like me to talk about in future videos, please leave a comment.

Hey enterprise love the vids👌
@SilverDied551oatmeal is a healthy way to start the day
I feel like a god now! that technique of just pushing the tape into the grooves with a simple point is pure genius! that is an amazing idea! I will now feel more confident with my lining moving forward. Thank you.
Outstanding achievement even if they are from a time age 😃👍
Now this was a very interesting custom video I've made custom rolling stock like this although they were technically hand-me-downs from another person in the fandom who I did a trade with and I was just paying them up to make them look pretty. However after seeing this video it makes me want to go and redo them all over again. Although I find it interesting how you use paper faces instead of 3D printed or just faces from other wooden railway trucks, but hey we all have our methods. Can't wait to see the next few videos you have in store.
I’ve put off some custom projects to the side because they all looked like shit and I didn’t know what to do anymore, you kinda make me want to try and make them again
Do it! Make dreams happen!
@@arthurthelmsengine6855 I'll see what I can do, I never got past the disassembling proces and I have no painting experience so this will be fun
awesome work
Nice customs mate 👌 very good 😊
As always, excellent models! And an incredible trick to make lining look so much better! So simple, yet so genius :)
By the way, at 6:57- the reason why is because the front of real 7 plank wagons is actually supposed to lift open on a hinge, sort of like a dump truck when it's bucket is tipped back! As a result, no bracket was required to bolt the side planks to the front planks. You can even see a thin bar along the top of a few of the Season 1 7-planks, which represents the hinge.
This design was dropped later on, and instead made flat and square... However, the side where the hinge is supposed to be is still missing it's other bracket. As a result, the trucks aren't even when viewed from the side!
Yay now i can make good lining
Awesome job with those trucks 👏👍🏻.
What video program do you use?
I like it
Me too!
Hi, this is Cory Mears. I'm just wondering how I can get the train cars that you got from ryatron 12. Thanks.
So what are their names?
3:09 I used white out for my customs and still do, with permanent markers. It’s rlly all I have and ik a friend suggested white out so that it doesn’t chip but for the most part, I’d say my customs look decent
Do you take requests
As usual, the fans outdo the official company every time. If only the official company would put even a fraction of the same effort instead of trying to send Thomas to the scrapyard.
Plz do a video on different eras of coaches plz
I sort of understand the annoyance with the more "unrealistic" rolling stock, but you have to understand, when your main audience is young children, you're sure to see more items like the candy troublesome trucks and 'surprise' cars with bright colors to grab attention rather than more gritty rolling stock like you make.
