This was one of the few "villains" I saw die and I was sad, because Starrk didn't show villainy at any time, he was just on the "wrong side" of the war, as Kyoraku himself said.
That whole fight was a reminder of the real cost of war. The change in Shunsui's demeanor is the key. The Soul Society invasion, the mystery, and even the betrayal when he went against Yamamoto. Through it all he was very relaxed for most of it, here though, he's out for Stark's head.

Stark should have been the reason he lost his eye. Not some random 2 panel quincy who died for being "the weak that will give power to the strong" with aushwalen or whatever the name was.
Stark had to fight 4 captain level shinagami. 2 of them with their hollow mask and one is soon to be head captain. Fight could have been better illustrated but Stark is much more powerful that it would seems

Shunsui's zanpaktou has two spirits, the older one who is the bankai and the shikai is the younger ninja one who is getting hiding things & plays kids games.
Shinsui didnt use his bankai aswell,human world is a neutural ground ,so none of them are boosted my guy.He is indeed strong of course but it doesnt relate to u saying that he destroyed the captains.

It sucks that he didn’t show up for even a cameo in the TYBW arc, since he got killed by Kyoraku’s shikai, it means he could actually reincarnate back into Soul Society.
Shunsui's shikai is ridiculous because he can use any combination of games simultaneously, and there are likely more we haven't seen yet. It gets to the point of Shinji's shikai where it's nearly impossible for an opponent to calculate all the elements simultaneously and on the fly. Shunsui had centuries of practice studying the ins and outs of each one, and how to optimize every combination for every type of opponent. And I wouldn't be surprised if his bankai had more plays than just Karamatsu Shinjuu.
