I've only started to learn that there was a small, easily overlooked niche for this genre of music made from way back, and I'm loving all the exciting discoveries, I'm making.

Yes it sounds like sine waves but i would use a square wave to start building these sounds, with one oscillator modulating another, plenty of resonance, some ring modulation and white noise, and some sine LFO modulation on the filters which would be set to low pass, that's where i'd start to attempt the recreation of these sounds....
Sounds a bit like Karlheinz Stockhausens 'Zyklus' and 'Kontakte' from the 50s. He inspired EVERYBODY, from Tangerine Dream to Beach Boys, and yes, he's on the cover of 'Sgt. Pepper'... RIP Else, 1924-2016.
I agree. For some reason I've always found Stockhausen to be really cold and soulless, this actually sounds more intimate and human even though it's highly experimental
I never understood the appeal of Stockhausen honestly, besides historical relevance. I can't imagine someone sitting through that maximalism thrown in your face and enjoying it. Well, to each their own.
Uoh..! I see there were many women working with this type of production... I already knew Eliane Radigue (my favourite) and Laurie Spiegel... than this ELse Marie Pade..! Awesome. Does anyone know any other woman like these three?
The way she sits there not moving is amazing
@@howardkleger haha that would be great😊

It's the sound of an exquisitely designed glove on a beautifully sculptured iron fist...
Genius. And also I notice she smoked around the equipment!

Thank you for introducing me to this artist.

The birth of Dark Ambient?
what a fucking badass
haha yes
are you referring to her music, or her fighting the Nazis in the Danish Resistance?
Mikhail S. i'm not even going to answer that
You just did...;-)
J.A. yeah, pretty much. I just wanted to input my attitude to point out how silly that question was
This is gorgeous / fantastic! Love all this "early" stuff. Reminds me of Coil's ANS recordings - which are so lovely and timeless.
What are these ANS recordings?
Haha!!!!!

Dahpne Oram ,Marie Pade etc....women in electronic music are fantastic!!!!

Yeah this absolutely slaps
Damn they really invented coldwave when the beatles were singing "love me do"
Yeah. And when Tangerine Dream, in the 1970s, offered an amateurish rip-off of such real avant-garde, people hailed them as innovators ...
Wow. This sounds a bit like works by Daphne Oram and early Tangerine Dream and this is before TD existed. Marvellous!!!
Great!!!
Wow!!!

RIP Else, 1924-2016.
'Sirius' by Stockhausen was composed between 1975 and 1977 not late 50s.
Of course you're right, I always mix up Zyklus with Sirius, don't know why...haven't heard them in a long time either.
KS was a big influence on Zappa.

Sal Puma augmented or diminished?
En este momento yo siento que ella es más sensible que stockhausen
Right now I feel she is more sensitive than stockhausen

Yt recommends me more obscure 60s electronica. Nice
I like this, but I can tell this was from the 60s. Lot of experimental electronic artists used similar sounds like this throughout the 50s and 60s.
Holy fucking WOW amazing 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
More important than The Beatles IMO.
This early experimental music reminds me (somewhat) of Daphne Oram’s “Pulse of Persephone”. Deep undulating pulses and woans. Brain food.
