I have a flat screen TV and a PS4 in the truck. Without this i would go nuts. Been on the road over 20 years and this keeps me sane. But I do remember the old days of trucking when it was fun. Those days are gone now. Now it's work all the time. No fun at the truck stops anymore. Back in the day some drivers would get together and form a band, there was music, beer and BBQ food. It was fun. But those days are gone. It was always held at the party row. Oh the fun we had. I miss that life. You new drivers will never experience what trucking was like back then. I feel sorry for you.
For your safety but all it’s done is make us rush, rush, rush. Trying to hurry and push to make it to your next stop, delivery, pickup, ect. I see too many guys cutting corners cause the clock is ticking down.
this is basically the Canadian version that later on about 6 years later maybe 7 years would become big rig in the United States document in truckers travels and what's going on at the time the impending a recession coming on and a whole lot more changes in the industry

Trucking is not hard work. Lol You get paid to travel the country. Eat at restaurants, and sit all day. The only thing about trucking that it’s difficult is hometime. Being away from love ones for weeks! Besides that. Easy job.
