I think these guys are considered China's greatest pair figures skaters bur i am not sure but i do know that China sees them and one of the best that they have ever had. and from what i saw of them skating i can see why
They were the first elite pair skaters China has ever had (and they got the first medal of Chinese pairs), I believe, although Pang and Tong came up right behind them, like a year from what I can calculate. Then Zhang and Zhang came into the elite ranks. No real pair program before their coach made one. He learned what was needed from watching skating on TV, although he had competed pairs for China, but was 18th, so they had no idea how to complete at the elite level. He is quite an amazing man, I think.
