I love that usually in speedruns theres a bunch of tricks you can do to shorten your run. but this game is so simple the whole strat is just die and eat fast
@@dimensionvisitor7689He literally explains that he died on purpose so that he can skip the mermaid at the end of levels, thus literally saving more time than he lost while dying and respawning.
@@erickflores458 there are times where he died multiple times in one level tho, and I think you only need to die once to prevent mermaid, and sometimes you can see him trying to move away from danger but was moving too fast and still end up getting killed. I was impressed someone decide to speedrun this game. This game not have any clear pattern, everytime fish location are different from earlier play, salute to this
Comparing the two levels, while the Madhouse has a significantly lower space compared to Tricky Treats, that's kinda it. The small space isn't even that problematic considering how the sharks pretty much clean the Cods and the Pompanos during earlygame and Barracuda serves as a great source of early-game food. I've watched and played the level a couple of times and despite the small space, you were given just enough, heck even more space to really do work, 2 Sharks and a Barracuda isn't much of a problem as it seems. Tricky Treats on the other hand has a hellish earlygame, forced to eat those grueling Pufferfish and Cuttlefish and unlike Madhouse, has a larger space which is actually a disadvantage, this means a larger quantity of Whales, Leopard Sharks and Tunas, Whales in general as their extreme size pretty much makes them a threat all through out as even if you're in your largest form, you still have to account for them as a big threat, again this is the same as Madhouse but the threat level is diminished considering there's only 3 of them and one is even edible. Lastly, Madhouse doesn't have Pufferfishes and Cuttlefishes and again, you aren't forced to eat them, especially in the earlygame, watched and played this level a couple of times and its just really difficult, even chaining up a dounle frenzy combo or a feeding frenzy is difficult. Although this is just me and this is just from my experience, lol.
@@butteredsalmonella the levels that got no "normal small fishes" are my favorite tho. I imagine a level with no bugs or any kind of small fishes so you need to use mushrooms / eat shrunken barracudas to grow and I think it would be fun
i remember when i was a child my dad use to play this while i watch him in frenzy. Then he taught me to play this and i really enjoy it. This brings back memories ❤️ why can't we have games like this?
If you have windows10, you can get that via Microsoft store. Also available on Xbox 360. Only for 5 bucks if you want to get it. Problem is: God damned EA. You aware the news of Pop ap got acquisitioned by EA?
theoretically it's faster to get eaten at the beginning and beat the level than do it flawlessly (you can't skip the perfect mermaid at the end of a level and that takes so long sometimes) emphasis on "theoretically" though since anything can go wrong
hey everyone thank you for 100k on this i'm glad i could help bring back memories for everyone if you're at all interested in the speedrun check out the page here: www.speedrun.com/feeding_frenzy_2_shipwreck_showdown and if you're interested in running the game it's available at a lot of places for $5, steam is the most popular of course
Trick I don't think most realize, die as soon as possible to skip the mermaid part of the level. Cause the mermaid part takes a long time to finish causing you to lose a lot of time.

Absolute Truth.
Why? It's easier than madhouse, madhouse is a shark infested water and the arena is a lot smaller.
