The gopro doesn't show it but Remy is only maybe at max 2-3 bike lengths behind the people he follows. That means that instead of having several seconds of time to react to an upcoming feature, he has only fractions of a second to act because of the rider ahead blocking his view. You are a surgeon on the bike with some crazy cat-like reflexes dude. Major props to you!
Man I wish I had the link where Reese showed off his backyard. It was early on and he is still building but gives you an idea of what he has going on. Hopefully someone will share it.
Reece sending it hard with no chain and also, mouthguard... smart considering the sport we do, surprised more people don't ride with them now that I think of it
Man! What an epic Video. This has to be one of the most beautiful trail you had on your channel. You guys did such a good job on it. One of my favourit videos from you so far. And it's always fun to see Reece riding.
Great stuff. So good to see you getting back to more continuous riding instead of the cut up "stop and discuss feature, do feature, stop and discuss next feature, do next feature..." that has been so prevalent in recent videos.

Nanaimo is an awesome area for eMTBs. Spent all of April there this year. Maybe catch you there at some point. Cumberland isn't too far away and might be more your style Remy 😉
Brakes chain in the middle of nowhere, still smiling. Then later puts his gum shield in the same pocket as the broken chain. Yuck! but still smiling! Very impressive riding to keep the speed
Can u please make a video collab with Dangerous Dave, Dale Stone or VanCan?? Riding steep and gnarly Northshore trails? That would be amazing to watch!
Thought Reece was overdue for a dental appointment at first. Curious - did you ask him why he uses a mouthguard? (Ie. His specific reasons, not the general reasoning of most people)
I had to ride chainless for the first time ever a few days ago after my mech hanger broke and my left shoulder hurt like hell for 2 days afterwards ,is this normal because i had to pump all day to maintain my speed or just unfit.?
I feel like I have never seen Ebikes ridden on this level of aggressive terrain. In both steep and rough. I imagine the extra weight would make the trail feel smoother, considering the momentum.
Gwin took his intense down Kong.. They can handle every bit as much as a regular bike maybe even more because they have to be tuned for the extra weight too. They eat up a lot of components though. Worth every penny though.
Would be an interesting story to hear about his MTB journey. I have been riding since the 90's and met a lot of good riders in the PNW and in California. People like Remy are born better than 99% of us and then develop that skill above and beyond. Most of us could practice 10x more than Remy did and still not reach his level. Hard work allows you to reach your potential, DNA sets the bar on where that potential is. I am not bitter at all, every time I ride behind someone with an insane amount of God given talent I just marvel at the art, and that is why I watch Remy.
@@JaydenSchneider Naw, everyone knows about Cumberland. Nice to highlight the sick riding in Nanaimo. There is more to Van Isle riding than Cumberland.
i also have the reign e +0. 2022 .my frame cracked on the bottom near the motor and i dont ride this hardcore trails.. -.- Im not the only one with this issue. i hope giant give me a new frame.
I am not sure why, probably his size, but he looked a lot more like a mortal riding than I feel Remy does. Every time I watch Remy descend some madness I am in awe of how smooth he makes it look. Could be that Reece just rides fast and isn't really going for the smooth and controlled look.
I disagree really a lot on the opinion that fast tire dont matter on an ebike. You still roll like shit on a flatter section and it kills the momentum and you have to pedal where you normally would roll through very fast. potentially save some battery power.
@@remymetailler yeah for sure and why im even arguing with one of the best mtb rider in the world, you are the michael schumacher of mtb for me in terms how you approach the sport or difficult features.
Please help me understand the rationale for having an E bike on trails like this?? Especially when you’re only going downhill. I just don’t get this whole E bike thing what happened to good old fashion mountain biking

Thank you!
Started to watch this on my phone but remy always deserves to be watched on the big screen, love your videos👍👍👍👍👍
Watch it twice;)
I'm just south of you in Bellingham Washington, home to Galbraith Mtn. I look forward to coming up and checking out your trails in Naniamo soon!
Welcome anytime. We’re a friendly bunch.
Great video. The front guy was a perfect example of being loose on his bike. He just let it bounce around in controlled kaos. 😮
Vancouver Island is loaded with great mountain bike locations Nanaimo Campbell River Courtney Cumberland hammerfest at Parksville absolutely great
Vancouver Island sucks. Tell your friends.... 😉
that new bottom mid section on meat draw looks awesome! Not ridden it since I raced the island cup and my chain came off then too.
Creek gap was awesome!
The level of riding and trailbuilding all over BC is just insane. If only I could get a visa
Looks insane boys!
I really wanna see that backyard video.
Awesome trails! You guys killed it... even with a broken chain!

Can we talk about how Remy can follow a real Pro's back wheel on their home trail, while riding it the 1st time?
Next level!
Cause I'm a real pro too;)
A real pro! Why not kick him in the balls why your at it. He is a pro.🙄
Have you seen him race? He’s world class fast.

Lots of rocks and edges to obliterate tires, love it! 😂 I recently added CushCore to my bike for this reason
Wow that looks absolutely incredible

Remy always riding some mad shit 💪
Chainless eBikes are the future. 😆
Awesome shredding with Reece! 🔥🤘
Love the new intro.
Great video Rémy🚵🏼♂️
11:08 best Part :D
Really impressive to see someone finally drop Remy, especially chainless! But that’s to be expected from a former world champion.
Where did he drop him? Looked like Remy was tight on his 6 all the way down.
You guys make it look too easy! One of my favourite laps!
ANOTHER FREAKING AWESOME VIDEO!!!🤙❤
I was always wondering seeing the One-up EDC carrier WITHOUT carrying the tool in it.
It does have a chain tool :) ...
Touché
Thinking about visiting Van Isle? Do it, you wont be disappointed. 😁
love the videos wish i could ride big jumps like this
Amazing riding
You should connect with Mark Mathews and ride his jump line next time you are on Vancouver Island. Great content as always.
Chainless on a hardtail, the ultimate training method for improving line choice and pumping 😂😂
They call it Gnar-naimo for a reason!
You should come to port alberni
that would be cool :)_
the trail is insane! Wish I could try it out. lol
Gnarnaimo 👍
Remi riding the local
onsite riding is so fun
11:59 is balls spicy. I've walked it twice now. Criiiikey these guys just handled it though :)
